We always watched this the day we got out for Christmas break:

At Drew Elementery there was a VCR in the office that hooked to all the TVs in the classroom. We had a limited supply of movies. IIRC, we had The Cat from Outer Space, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, The Wilderness Family, the old Little Rascals and Best Christmas Pagent Ever.

We watched Where the Red Fern grows, too, but I never paid attention because I had seen it at home and didn't want to cry in front of my friends.
Saw it in the theater with the rest of my class as a freshman. The bastards running the theater turned the lights up as soon as the credits started running. I got caught wiping tear from my eyes.

I was born in 83 and definitely watched the same movies as the OP in class. Also, Where the Red Fern Grows. I can't think of any others before 7th grade. We watched the original Clash of the Titans in 7th grade because we were learning about Greek mythology.

This. Totally forgot we watched this in class also. Secret of NIMH is the movie title.

Neverending Story, Flight of the Navigator, The Goonies, Airborne.
pretty sure they only showed the edited version of the Goonies. Probably the taped edition off the Sunday Night special on the Disney Channel or something.
Home Alone, Mighty Ducks.

In high school AP History, after we took the exam in early May, we ended up watching really good movies that the teacher felt like watching again. I think we saw All the President's Men, Platoon, and something else. Can't remember the last one but it was a famous war epic (not Saving Private Ryan).
I took a film class as a senior elective and we watched stuff like the Basketball Diaries, Taxi Driver, and Being There. No idea how the hell we got to watch the first two but I'm not complaining!
In early grade school we watched Land Before Time on rainy days. They also kept trying to pass off the original Willy Wonka, but eventually someone must have found an old Return of the Jedi tape bc we at least upgraded to that soon after.
