Am I wrong?

My girlfriend and I moved in two weeks ago. We each have a dog....mine is very well trained and does not "go" in our apartment and has never done so since he was a tiny pup. Her dog on the other hand has bladder issues and urinates and poop's whenever he feels the need to. Sometimes we will wake up in the morning and find out that he has urinated over night. I HATE this and it really grosses me out. I knew going into this that he had issues and I told her that we would crate train him my putting him in there over night and while we are gone for work (8-5). She tells me this morning that she spoke to her mom and has decided to give him to her parents who live out in the country (they will slowly make him an outside dog with the others). I feel bad but deep down I am happy. Am I an ahole for making her (in a way) get rid of her dog?
Just an FYI we take our dogs out in the morning, when we get back from work and at night before bed.

No. Can you imagine a human just taking a full piss on your carpet? The dog doing it is equally disgusting. frick that dog.

Don't see anything you did wrong there.

You didn't make her get rid of her dog. Sounds like you had a perfectly fine solution that would have allowed her to keep the dog. She made the decision to ship him off.

As far as your girlfriend is concerned, you'll always be wrong.

When is the last time you saw a woman with a well trained dog and a clean car?
Now that you can think of one and wish to offer me a rebuttal, I advise you don't and go marry that ho.

Other than not bringing the dog to a shelter, you did the right thing.

Hey! My last dog was amazingly well trained and my new one is well on his way (had him about a week, no accidents).
My car is another story

Pics of girlfriend?
To be able to make proper opinion, of course.

No, you are not wrong. I wouldn't bring this up but it's your girlfriends fault for not properly training the dog as a puppy. It would be harder to train him/her now. Houses, apartments, condo's etc cost too much money for a pet to be pissing and shitting in it. That is just gross. A change is needed.

Your apartment is going to stink to high heavens. You may not notice it, but others will!!!! Just a little advice for ya.

We had a similar issue with my pug. Pugs are stubborn as hell and even though they are housetrained...they will still go inside every now and then just to say "frick you". We did the crate thing to solve that issue. Works great. Your gf should have taken the time to try the crate solution. Dogs really don't mind being in the crate. Mine runs to his now whenever he feels scared(ex: I turn the vacuum cleaner on).
To answer your question....you didn't make her get rid of the dog...she choose that. You gave her a perfectly good option to compromise and allow her to keep the dog and for you to not deal with dog piss. If she really wanted to keep her dog....she would have done everything she could to keep it and keep you happy.
