that solves their problem, but not teams that have to ply to london to play a team that lives there

Bye weeks.

It doesn't solve the timezone issues (London is 5 hours ahead of eastern time)

how is time zone a problem? They are ahead of us, not behind.

Because you will be back in the states at 5-7 am from the trip, basically wasting an entire day of prep for the next weeks game. Unless of course every team who plays there gets a bye week the next week like you proposed but have yet to explain how it would work

Flights to london are going to be about 2 hours longer form the closest eastern teams, than those teams oddly have going to the farthest western teams.

As for bye weeks, they are going to have to play division games. so if you are in the division with this teams your whole schedule revolves around these exessivle inconvenient team that you are going to have to play jet lagged twice a year.

Furthermore unless you put them in a division consisting of only NE teams, you will have Houston having ti play a game in London every year.

If you have ever been to europe, then you know this is a fricking terrible idea.
