Appropriate response, "you're alive, thank me".

A normal cyclist is bad enough, but those idiots that ride those incumbent bicycles on roadways are absolutely the worst. I almost hit one the other day. You cannot see those f'ers - they are too low to the ground. I have been seeing more and more of them lately - they really don't need to be on the road...

You really shouldn't be wearing the dog head while driving.

They have to obey traffic laws unless there was a bike lane there that you didn't see.
Glad you didn't kill him but sounds like he was being reckless.

I fricking hate cyclists who don't give a shite about traffic rules. The absolute worst.

Need more data, were you crossing a bike lane? I don't understand how he thinks he can pass on the right. I keep my place in line. Of course here in Houston , cars regularly ride the shoulder at speed left or right shoulder doesn't matter.
Like most cyclists in Houston I work in the Energy business and have 4 cars (kids) so whoever said we don't pay taxes ...lol!
I ride to stay alive regardless of the right away, hell I drive my SUV like everyone on the road is trying to kill me, because they ARE...

You need to respect the laws of the Master Race Commonwealth, Rex
Remember, this is Virginia, we will throw your arse in jail in a heartbeat for a reckless driving conviction.
Imagine if one of you,"cultured", people struck one of our own with your prius while he was just out exercising?
I got my eyes on you, heathen.

People who drive cars have way more sense of entitlement.
No, not close.

I ride as if I was a car. The only thing I may do is if there are 3 or so cars at a red light, I may pull up on the right side of the cars on the shoulder to get through the intersection faster, but I stay off to the side and never pass a moving vehicle. Only way that guy had a right of way is if there was a bike lane. I try to stay as far to the right on non-busy roads as possible. I have cars pass me that don't even have to put a tire in the other lane and I feel perfectly comfortable. But every once in a while, there's a jackass that blows by me as close as possible. They've got two or three feet they can get over without even veering into the other lane. I'd say that if you rode a bike once in a while, you'd see that there are far more a-hole drivers to cyclist than the other way around. Cyclist can be annoying (I lived on river road and hated them), but I don't find they do as many shitty things as I've seen drivers do to myself and others.
As far as the tights and outfits. I started out wearing loose shorts. But when I started riding 30-40 miles. It is a lot more comfortable (chaffing and lack of padding) to wear the bike shorts. I do not wear the decked out cycling jerseys as if I was pretending to be a pro.

He's probably telling all his friends tonight what an a-hole I am... when I'm still upset at how he might have killed himself by crashing into the side of my car.

I started cycling so I can troll people on the road and on a message board.

I hit one pretty hard last year while in Michigan on business. There was three lanes. I was in the far left lane and the light changed to green as I approached the intersection. I kept motoring on at about 45 mph. I couldn't figure out why the other lanes hadn't responded to the light changing. Right before I cleared the intersection I saw him right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes but it was tool late. I got the back half of the bike and flipped him into the median. He was scraped up and the bike was toast but he said he was fine and tried to walk away. I ended up taking him and his bike on to work. He admitted it was his fault for running the signal light. Still didn't make me feel any better. I had to report the incident to the local police and my employer. At the end of the day I was pissed at what that guy did. I was totally freaked out all day.
