New Orleans Museums/Attractions Recommendations

I'm going down to New Orleans for Good Friday and the Saturday before Easter. The plan is to visit the Audubon Zoo on Friday and possibly the Aquarium on Saturday, but I would like to make the most of this two-day excursion.
I've already got the culinary ventures mapped out, but I need some help with the rest.
Aside from the WWII Museum, what are some other worthwhile attractions to check out?
And for the love of God, please don't suggest Bourbon Street or the French Quarter (the Quarter itself, not individual locales).
Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions.

NOMA is awesome for the Faberge and porcelain exhibits alone.

My girlfriend is an art history student so that alone might be a home run suggestion. I appreciate it, SuperSaint.

In that case also go to the Ogden.

You're gonna waste your time if you plan on just cruising through the WWII museum. Was a two-day thing for me because there is so much to see

Memorial Hall Confederate Museum is right across from the WWII museum. Second largest collection of CSA artifacts in the world. eg- crown of thorns Pope made for Jefferson Davis

If you're a fan of the Zoo and the Aquarium, there's also the Insectarium on Canal a few blocks from the Aquarium. It's small, but it's indoors with air conditioning.

Just walk down Royal St.

Great suggestion, but unfortunately we already visited the Insectarium back in October. Even though it's small, you can still waste a lot of time in there.

I planned on doing some extensive walking in and around the CBD. I'm not a big fan of window shopping but I do enjoy taking in all of the sights and sounds of that part of town.

I'm holding out for some high-quality meals. As much as she would like to blow some cash down there, I'm going to have to resist such urges.

make sure you allow a lot of time for this. It's an awesome place but it can take you most of the day to do the entire tour.

No recommendations but I went Saturday and had a blast. I was told we parked two miles away from the quarter but it felt like fifteen.
