I got mine done there. Great experience. It's a little pricey, but it's worth it. I didn't want to go cheap when it came to my eye sight.

I don't know about lasik but give Williamson in general very high reviews. They seem to be really knowledgable and are friendly.

I got LASIK done at Williamson 2 years ago. I definitely recommend them. It cost me $2,400 total both eyes. I has 20/20 vision 30 minutes after the procedure. My eyes were bloodshot for about a week after and that's it. Been perfect ever since.

Wife had it done there 10 years ago. It went fine. It doesn't last forever, or at least it didn't for her. She has to use reading glasses now after 10 years, but she was absolutely blind as a bat before the surgery.

How long could a LASIK place stay open if they had bad reviews?

Just make sure your prescription has been stabilized before getting the surgery. I had it 10 years ago and now wear glasses again.

When I was getting fit for glasses the optometrist told me that it is not uncommon for people to be back in glasses a few months to a year after having surgery b/c their prescription wasn't stabilized before having surgery.

A little history: Charles Williamson was the one who introduced the LASIK procedure to Baton Rouge. It was invented by the Russians and he went to Russian in the early 70s and spent two years there to learn how to do it. That having been said, they seem to be out for the big bucks now with bo-tox and other cosmetic procedures. Not sure if Charles still performs the LASIK surgeries. You might want to ask.
