Adrian Peterson's agent: "We want out of Minnesota."

Adrian Peterson's agent told USA Today that "we want out of Minnesota."
Peterson's agent is doing the dirty work here, as he came out on Wednesday and said he "doesn't think it's in the best interests of Peterson to play for the Vikings." The ball is in GM Rick Spielman's court, as he holds all the cards here. The Vikings are in fine shape with the salary cap and can carry Peterson's $15 million-plus cap hit if they have to. And with Minnesota poised to take another step forward in Teddy Bridgewater's sophomore season, they may choose to hold onto A.D. More likely, the two sides go their separate ways.

I just hope he goes somewhere that helps my fantasy team

Does he get paid if he holds out?

Surprised he didn't want out of there a long time ago.

I hope Slick Rick tells Peterson to go frick himself. They paid him last year. Peterson is just butthurt and acting like the victim because there are some people in the front office who did not support him for beating his kid. The Vikings have stood by him for years and paid him like $11 million last year (I think, but I forgot the exact figure).

No. He got paid last year because he was on the Commissioner's exempt list, but he will probably be removed from that list for the next season. He's under contract for the next three years. If the Vikings don't trade him I highly doubt he sits out for another year.

Sounds like that would be fine by Peterson

I agree. The Vikings have cap room and with the development of Bridgewater and the impact of Mike Wallace and the draft they may actually be in a situation where they could improve a lot next year.
Peterson's expensive but he puts people in the seats and means a lot more to the Vikings than his trade value as a 30 year old RB

Ok, this might have a bit of truth to it, but there are other felonies as well.

Vikings should teach him a lesson about leverage

he is a cardinal.
or maybe some dumb team like the Jets will take him.
Miami could use a feature back like him.

Let the man go! Otherwise he will be a cancer. Sometimes it's better to cut them loose!

Viking should trade Peterson and draft either Gordon or Gurley

They just paid him a full season and he didn't play.
He has to honor the contract and play for them.
