So what is the general consensus on this show? I have all of the episodes recorded on my DVR, but haven't watched them yet (and was hesitant to). I almost pulled the trigger yesterday and rifled through them, but figured I'd see what people thought about it first.
I've heard very little about the series (in terms of being good or bad).
FWIW, I watched BB about 15 months ago and loved it. When I heard about BCS, I was hesitant because as awesome as Saul was on BB, it was because he wasn't a main character, and I wasn't sure how good a show focused on him would be. But I know it has most (all?) of the same writers as BB did, so I was willing to give it a chance.

I was the exact same way cokes. I went in hoping to be entertained and that's about it. I can unequivocally say (and I believe I can speak for just about every else as well) that it has absolutely blown away those expectations. I'm convinced Gilligan can do no wrong.
I'm not saying BCS will be as good as BB or anythign like that, but this show is damn sure able to stand on its own...it doesn't feel like a spinoff anymore, it just feels like a really frickin solid TV show. If you have some time tonight you need to start running through it. Similar to BB, it may take an ep or 2 for you to really buy in, but it already started hitting its stride several episodes ago and is going full speed ahead.

I found this show to get off to a slow start, similar to BB, but I'm interested now. It's gotten better in the past few weeks.
Eta: I still think people are overrating it to a point. It's good but it's still too early to tell imo

Everything that was just said above this post is 100% accurate. I actually look forward to Monday nights because of this show which is crazy.
Vince Gilligan will knock it out the park with this one just as well as he did with BB.

Had the same thoughts. This show has blown my expectations out of the water more than any show I can recall.

Good to hear, and preciate the replies. I'll definitely watch it then. Also, much love to whoever downvoted my post asking a legitimate question. 
I'd definitely go into it expecting nothing near BB-level quality. I'm usually pretty good at tempering my expectations for movies or shows. So I'll go into it with an open mind.
I just wanted to ask about the quality because I've noticed that the episode threads aren't usually too long, so I didn't know if people were digging it or not really.
I'll definitely catch up as soon as I can.
