Sod Installation Companies

I posted this on the OB, but traffic over there seems to be slow. Hopefully the admins won't move this:
I was curious if anyone had any experience with either Precision Landscape or Simpson Sod? I have more dogs than I'd like to claim and some shady spots. From everything I'm reading, it sounds like empire zoysia might be an answer to these problems. I figured I would go ahead and re-sod the whole back yard. About 2050 sq. ft., if I calculated correctly. Precision has their price listed at $190 a pallet installed.
TIA for any help.

I wonder if they'd do any landscape leveling for me. I've got some serious issues with how my builder finished off my backyard. Really my front yard as well. Lots of peaks and valleys. The backyard is an ankle-breaking playland.
I just did the first cut yesterday and its a joke it's so uneven. He took months between rolling out the pallet that surrounded by house and patio, and then extending it down towards the edge of my property line (it's a ditch in the backyard). Then wild grass grew in the patch he never did anything with.
It comes off like I've got decent grass growing, but three different terraced levels, two sod lines and two types of grass growing.

No experience with those companies but I may be in need some in my front yard that has been a losing battle to weeds for 3 years now. How many sq ft. does a pallet cover? Would they scrape/grade old grass and remove then lay sod?

A pallet covers 450 square feet.

I have gotten sod from Simpson a few years back, centipede not zoysia. I installed it myself. Do not remember the cost. Simpson had good centipede so I take it their zoysia will be good.

Thanks, good to know. Now I can calculate the damage.

Worked for Jake for many years. Always send business his way when I can. From behind the scenes I can tell you he never played games with customers and was always upfront.

Seems to be the general consensus. I'll have to send him an email. I assume his website price listed is valid. $190 Installed

have you considered buying the sod and hiring day labor?

Yes. In all honesty, I would rather someone licensed and insured on my property. Even though, I doubt some "independent laborer" would pursue anything.
Just in case...

I haven't used Precision for any big jobs but they have done some yard work and lighting for me and I'm happy with the work they do. Jake is usually the lower bid but always get the bids.
