So what are your views about getting married in the Catholic church?

I really don't understand why people choose to live in a perpetual state of upset. I think about these constant complainers walking through life being angry all the time over other people's actions and i really don't get it. Especially when those actions were not intended to offend, were not directed toward them, and when the people acting aren't even thinking about hurting someone else. All of the BS social justice butthurt has done the opposite of making me into a more sensitive, community minded person. I no longer GAF.

It's following the crowd these days. It's getting more and more ridiculous because so many sad people are striving to out do each other in their outrage.

Similar to those church people who act holier than others and clique together.

Yoga wackadoodles are always striving to be more spiritual. Etc etc

People first want to belong, then they want respect from their peers.

Please explain to me how this is 1. Disturbing and 2. Trashy? A plantation wedding is usually
more expensive than most other weddings.

That was my first thought--it would be a nice symbol of conquering the past.

I used to get upset about everything disability related. And then one day I realized that only a few assholes have belittled my child personally. The other things I'd get upset over (ie using the word retarded) came from people who either didn't know my kid or who used it in a way in which it was clearly not a slight towards him. And I realized that I could live with anger and bitterness toward people who never meant to offend anyway or I could be happy. I choose happy. And that does make me alone sometimes even within a group of my friends. But, IDC. While I still love my easily offended friends, I also recognize that I'm much happier than they are.

I bet the author wants to/already did get married at a courthouse. Courthouses have been the site of gross miscarriages of justice since the beginning of civilization.

How many innocent black men have been railroaded in courthouses in our country? Not to mention the fact that they're an arm of the government. Without government there could never have been slavery.

She's a hypocrite for complaining about plantations.

Well, deep thinker, since most of the African civilizations had slaves, I guess you're also morally opposed to any Africans getting married anywhere where slaves may have been. Please fly over there with a spray can and mark the places that are appropriate/inappropriate for family & civil ceremonies.

True but plantations and white heterosexuals are an easy target because race batters like SS will argue their point even when he makes up completely ridiculous parallels. It's just the new theme, white people can be berated into guilt while minorities are always right regardless of topic.

[quote]Two different magazines, Country Living (99.99% white readership) and EBONY/Jet (99.99% black readership) did surveys on 'WHAT DO PEOPLE FEAR MOST'? The results were interesting, to say the least...
Country Living magazine's top three answers were:
1. Nuclear war/terrorist attack in U.S.
2. Child/spouse dying/terminal illness.
3. Terminal illness/self.

EBONY/Jet magazine's top three answers were:
1. Ghosts.
2. Dogs.
3. Registered mail.
