Listened at my lease in Jefferson County MS this morning, heard 5 different gobblers. They were still hammering when I had to leave for work.

Needless to say I know where I'll be in the morning.

Anybody else been yet or going tomorrow?

If you enjoy fooling very wary animals you would love it. If they could smell they'd never get kilt. Our season doesn't open until 3/28 and I can't wait.

The year I decide to skip out on Mississippi the Louisiana season opens a week later than usual. These next two weeks are going to kill me.

But I'm going to Tennessee for the first time in April to make up for it, along with my annual Missouri trip. Can't wait.

Took my kids for youth hunt last weekend in Wilkinson County, MS. Not a peep! I have heard the birds in that area have been gobbling. I will be in woods for opening weekend.

This is me.

Actually had one gobbling up a storm last year while still on the roost but shut up and disapeared as soon as he flew down. Only time i've ever had one answer my call

I've got a flock of about 15 birds on our property I keep seeing on camera, Nice gobbler in the mix. Going to give it antoher try here in a few weeks.

Good. They have a way of shutting up on opening morning when every swinging dick is blowing a Primos Hooter though.

I'm hunting both days this weekend. I just need one to gobble one time on the ground.

I killed two on consecutive weekend the 1st year I really was serious about it. After that I thought I had this thing down. No problem.

That was 5yrs ago. Haven't killed one since.

Damn stupid birds.

birds went nuts in Poplarville last weekend with the clear skies. Youth-hunted with 10 yo Sunday and heard 60+ gobbles. They henned up though. The other pair we were with killed a two yr old bird, first for the youngster.

going to listen in Livingston parish this weekend to get reay for LA opener. Theyve been selectively gobbling down here.
