Wednesday - McNeese St. (11-5 Record)
RPI - 27
SOS - 29
Vs. Top 50 - 0-3
Vs. Top 50-200 - 10-2
They aren't as easy as you might think and LSU better be ready for their best performance of the season. This team can easily upset the Tigers as they begin looking ahead to Ole Miss. This isn't going to be a blowout and the Tigers should not go to sleep on the Cowboys.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - Ole Miss (8-7)
RPI - 49
SOS - 17
vs. Top 50 - 2-2
Vs. Top 51-200 - 6-5
Not sure what to think about the Rebels right now. They lost tonight to Louisville and play them again tomorrow night. They have a mediocre pitching staff and their hitting is about the same. This team has middle management written all over it but it is the SEC Opening Weekend at the Box and anything can happen.

What about Poche?

Don't Scivicque and Fraley have higher averages than Laird?

The thing that stands out for me so far is the aggressive and successful base running.

Makes me so happy. And the opportunity for success it has created is obvious. We've had a ton of runners in scoring position.

We've been tearing up the base pads.

Not enough plate appearances or game appearances.

Thanks for sharing; we look good but have some room to improve

Indeed. As we've discussed, I would much rather have a speedy and skilled baserunner be aggressive than give up an out with a sac bunt. Coach was in love with the hit and run and it took the bat out of the hitters hands. I'd rather a straight steal. We have the speed, lets use it.
