What Les REALLY said about the QB's.

"I would give it to one guy...if there's that guy that distances himself from the other and demonstrates the abilities to handle his business through the play call, through the style of offense, through what we do."
Watch the press conference again. Nowhere at all does he indicate that anyone is in the lead right now. And as a wise man said in another thread, it's fricking March.

wow if this is what he really said that guy who created the other one should be banned...

It wouldn't matter if it was September..
Don't listen to Les Miles, you'll go nuts trying to figure out what he don't want you to know.

That's a pretty bad omen.

And people actually think it'll be different in the fall.

Exactly. Anyone thinking our season long QB barring injury is anyone other than AJ is only kidding themselves and hasn't been paying attention

I gave up about 4 years ago hoping and wishing les miles would make statements like a normal human being.

This! I love Les, but after all he's said, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Frank Herron lined up at QB in the fall.

What Les says is meaningless. What Les does is the only thing I judge him on.

Now, now everything Coach Miles says isn't meaningless. I don't remember anything, but there's got to be something. Maybe it's just about QBs that he never makes sense.

It's true, he just likes messing with the media. It's a fun game for him.

Harris showed us that Les made the right decision last year.
We are hoping that Harris IMPROVES during spring ball AND summer practices, so he can get on the field without needing a time out before the first snap, and without other mistakes.
"when the game slows down for him".

One practice in the spring guys....come on. We should all be pulling for both our QBs to improve. I've always said Harris has a higher ceiling: stronger arm, faster, quicker, but AJ can improve as well and he is QB size in the SEC. Harris is so small...doesn't mean he cannot do very well.

Anyone that doesn't think AJ lines up 1st snap vs Mc State is delirious in March!

Anybody who watched the spring game and then the season knew that Jennings did what was asked of him, even if he had bad accuracy and a weak arm. Harris did not. I remember specifically about Miles talking about his "style of play" in the spring game was not right. In the spring game, after his first read wasnt there, he took off or threw it away. During the season, not knowing the plays, signals, not getting guys in and out of the huddle fast, etc.
All that can be taken care of in the offseason.
And before anybody brings up Miss St, Jennings did the same exact thing against Arkansas. Before anybody brings up NMST, yes, Jennings played about as awful as you can to start off a game, yet Harris looked great. That one game allowed him to audition against Auburn, who had a terrible secondary, and zero pass rush (Auburn people will tell you the same).
All things being equal, you had two bad QBs last year, one knew the plays and how the offense was ran, and one didn't. As soon as Harris can learn how to do things (I mean he was a true freshman switching from spread to a pro style offense), he will no doubt be the starter.

Where the hell did the other thread get that quote and why is the thread still alive? Anchor that shite! Ban him too if you like.

Granted Auburn wasn't up to snuff but it still was an SEC game on the road for the kids first start, early in the season. My only problem is that he never got a second chance to get meaningful snaps throughout the season. Now we are in the same place as last year. He is still "green" as far as game situations go. If not, it's the coaches fault, they've had a year to prepare this kid. My only problem is that Les will stick with one QB no matter what, except when a National Championship is on the line (Lee/Jefferson)

In all honesty, Les is a liar. He lies. He does it all the time. He enjoys lying. Does what he say make anyone feel good or bad? He already knows who his quarterback is. Does he care what you think? No! Does Cam have a say? No! Does what the players show in practice or the spring game or in games matter? No! I have never liked liars. Never will. He thinks it cute. Do you?
