True. You stat mined with literally zero other evaluation abd used that as a response to my question. This may actually represent greater stupidity. That you think Booty stank as bad in 99 as AJ did this year demonstrates you know Jack shite about football or that you are just being willfully dishonest to try and adhere to your point.

Booty was MILES better than AJ on a very bad team. The only way to not know tat is to be too young to have seen him. For frick's sake, he was all SEC that year which indicates that unlike you, people at the time weren't retarded stat miners.

The dude is just fricking terrible. He would have to make historic improvement to as good as a two QBs we all know weren't very good.

He wouldn't need to make a historic improvement to be as good as those two, that's just silly. He will need to improve though. Who's to say he doesn't make a gigantic leap?

Your thread starts with a premise about how we have been with returning QBs but we have never been returning a total shite fest like this. The guys we point to as examples of bad LSU QBs that improved were LIGHT YEARS better than AJ so, there is virtually no comparison between other years of returning QBs and this one.

No need for hyperbole . However Cam did say that he was tweaking the offense this year, and should help immensely. He talked about throwing more short, quick passes, which would;

- spread the defense out
- raise his completion %
- get the ball out to all our talented players in space

The vertical game with Mett will not work if your WRs can't create seperation downfield, your OL doesn't give you enough time for the routes to set up, and the QB doesn't throw accurately enough, or can't read defenses. The QB also has to have the arm to push the ball downfield.

So I can believe in Cam to change the offense, and at least one QB to perform well enough in that offense.

How much did we lose to those teams by.... Did you know if you score more points Than the opposing team you win the game!!!! Which means if you had a qb to stretch the field we would have scored more points which means we prolly Win those games jack a$$

longtime lurker, but cmon. This is a sport that people have a maximum of 5 years to play; most play 3-4. To blame our problems on 2007-10 is completely ignorant.
Our recruiting was trash then, yes, but a player couldn't sit on the bench for 7 years, however much you want to believe.

Also, I'm rather skeptical about CCC being one of the most highly regarded coaches, I mean his firing led to a SB win for the Ravens

Go back to lurking. The recruiting classes of 2007-10 would have made their effect on the 2009-14 seasons.

Well, my grandpa's neighbor--gramps was a prof-- committed in '86. Poor guy got hurt, and now single-handedly caused the 90's, as well as Saban leaving, and 9/11.

In his first fifteen starts, JJ completed more than 60% of his passes 8 times and failed to break 50% twice.

Yes, his body of work doesn't look bad on paper, but how many times did he completely shite the bed? I'm talking about God awful, it was disgusting to watch, way way more than once. No Pocket presence, hold the ball way too long, getting sacked all over the place.Throwing 8 yard ducks into the ground with wide open receivers, tossing passes directly to defenders fro 3 yards away.

Blind homers will never see this or admit to it... In their mind JJ played awesome in the title game against Bama.. It was someone elses fault......

Are we really starting this shite in march?????

Guys, we can argue amongst ourselves all day on who the starter should be,why, and past shortcomings with trends at the position.

How long have we heard this from Les? Since 2005. Every year with the exception of the Mett years, we have heard the same song and dance from Les. Qbs are in a tight battle, competing hard, it's an open position, they have grown and progressed so much and what did you get?????

Jennings will be the starter here for the next 2 years barring injury or a rape accusation.

Do any of you really think that Jennings/Harris has developed that much in 2 months? Jennings is the man and Les will go down with him just like he did with JJ

What? Not one person says JJ played well against Bama on 1-9-12, but that doesnt mean he didnt play well in 2011.

Then how does he have the 6th best career completion percentage IN LSU HISTORY?
Its so funny how people's biased opinions shape what they think they saw.

nothing that happened from 2005 to now has ANY bearing on the 2015 football season

every season is different. players come and go. no team is ever the same one season to the next.

Mett played virtually mistake-free football for 60 minutes against the best defense in cfb in 2012. That's a signature moment. JL against AU in 2008-signature moment. JJ in the peach bowl-signature moment. AJ-3 passes and a nice scramble against the worst team in the league in 2013. These are nowhere close to comparable.

Yes they are. Nothing Mett did in 2012 led you believe he had a 2013 season in him. If you say other wise youre lying.
