Is a 46mm Watch Case Too Large for a 7-7.25 in Wrist?

Someone in another thread suggested the maratac pilot.
The large comes in 46mm with a L2L of 54mm and the mid is 39mm with unknown L2L. Would the 46mm version overpower someone with 7in wrists?

Nah, I think it's too big actually. I now remember wanting to get one a few years back and deciding against it because it looked huge on my 7" wrist. I wont wear anything over a 45 anymore.

I would get the larger watch for sure but that is just my personal preference

I generally consider anything over 42-43 too large for most wrists. I don't think this supersized watch trend is going to last. My largest is 42 (Omega Speedy Pro) and fits just right. If your father/uncles/grandfathers etc. have a watch made before the 1980s, compare those sizes with sizes today. It's getting ridiculous.
(I have seen some beautiful 45-46mm watches, though.)

I have about 7 5/8 inch wrists and I own the Maratac Mid Pilot. It wears bigger than a typical 39 mm watch due to the lug to lug length and case thickness. I think the 46 mm would look too big on 7 inch wrists.

I think it's pushing it, but it can be done. I wear an Oris Diver Date TT1 regularly, and that's a 44mm. My wrists are just at 7.25". I'm completely used to it and think it looks normal now, but it does make my other watches feel small after I wear it regularly. My rule of thumb is if the lugs hang over the sides of your wrist, causing the strap to sit vertically, it's too big.

39 is too small and 46 is too large.

I have a 46mm and it's big, but still good. I use to have a 53mm UBoat and it was obnoxious on my wrist. I'm not a big guy, but i have wide bulky wrists.
I don recommend anything larger than 46-48 to anyone.
