Yeah pretty much. I do tend to think like a local and would rather die than go to some of those places (I like the Rusty Nail), those spots would be signficantly more fun for a tourist, no doubt.
Carousel bar in particular is awesome. Unique spot, upscale, crowded with "high class" (lol) bitches looking to bang.
Edit: Listen to Lester. Good advice, if that's what you're looking for.

I have been in the CBD for 5 years and lived in the quarter before that and can still have an absolute BLAST blowing out at Red Eye on a Saturday night.... if you aren't unfortunate looking and have half of a mouth piece, you aren't leaving that place without a good looking female on your arm unless you just get too sloppy drunk... Same with Gold Mine.
If you go out wanting to get laid, you almost have to do something like get overly drunk or something to not.
