This is definitely true.
I personally prefer Uptown, but I'm in my 30s and married.
If I was single I would want to be Downtown.
He should go to Red Eye for sure. You will definitely have some getting laid opportunities.

exactly. rusty nail, red eye, lucy's, maybe make your way toward the FQ from there, hit up a nice hotel bar on the way (sazerac or carousel are my favs), Penthouse Club, Lafites, Pat O's, Gold Mine late night. easy cab ride or pedi cab
