I found a site that gives your $20 in free credit if you refer a new customer to them and that person orders. When you refer the new customer, you just put in an email, that person gets $20 in credit.

So....you go into the new account, order something under $20 so its free, and then your original account gets $20 in free credit. You could easily do this 100 times in a day and get 100 free small items and $2000 in credit if you were not morally against it. They don't have anything in place to stop you from doing it, but is it legal?

No, I will not post the name of the site because I don't want you guys stealing!

I've done that on this website before LINK by buying $5 socks and getting credit for it.

only did it twice though cause I really didn't need 100 pairs of socks.

Years ago(circa 2000) online casinos gave bonuses on your opening deposit. 20% 10% etc
I made about $500 that way by depositing $1000 and betting the amount of the bonus, $100 on black $100 on red. Cash out.

I did have one casino's check bounce(they auto refunded your deposit but mailed the bonus). But Playboys, casino-on-net , and some other one paid out.

TLDR, it's not illegal if the system allows you to do that.

I cannot comment on the legality of this situation, but morally, aren't we all obligated to profit off of other's stupidity (I'm not talking about children/mental retardation/uneducated people). But people who should know better, don't we need to take them to the woodshed. this is the only way they'll learn.

Think of it as an educational opportunity for them and you are the teacher.

Smells like fraud because you're supposed to be referring a friend, not yourself.

1. Are you making a misrepresentation?
2. Is the business relying on that misrepresentation to its detriment?

If you answered "yes" to both, it is probably fraud.

I'm sure you and any other users scamming the site won't see any ramifications.
