Anyone who thinks the kid pushed the cop first is a fricking idiot.

this kid obviously had a beating coming to him. You don't taunt cops in any manner or give them a reason, it's that simple.

HOWEVER, the cop had no right to do what he did to "diffuse" that situation. The force was excessive and unnecessary. The cop has a history of this and needs to be stripped of his badge. Let him go be an MMA fighter since he moonlights as that already.

You missed the part where this cop has a track record of using excessive force?

Sorry if I like my rights and only believe that we should be arrested when we break the law, not do something stupid that makes the police mad.

I think we feel the same way. I'd really love to see a full video of the incident if it exists.

You're biased and on top of it can't even interpret some of what you read. What's the point?

Another cops said they kept pulling over for Becker to throw up . B

Lol. I'm willing to bet this is bull shite also. So unless the cop let the kid ride in the front seat with no cuffs, the cop had to stop, get out, and open up the back door repeatedly?????? I hate like but I don't see this

All of this is if he pushed, yelled at the cop is irevelant. If the kid did infact push the cop and or yell at him after he identified himself as well as present his badge, all that did was make the arrest legal on disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct etc. Nothing justifies the blows to the head after the fact and that's the issue. The video shows that the kid was not resisting and showing no type of threat to warrant the punches. End of case. You can get deeper to see if in fact he did /did not identified himself and make the case against the cop stronger, but the video shows that the punches should have never happened and it seems that the cop and JPSO are only making things worse by embellishing the story.

If the kid pushed the cop first then I refuse to believe he knew he was pushing a cop. The cop was working an undercover detail.

Why does a drunk 17 year old that already proved to be dumb enough to chant frick the police to cops get so much benefit of the doubt?

Yeah, me too. Sadly though it appears it was shot by one of Becker's friends so I'm assuming if it existed we would have seen it already (unless the cops illegally stole the phone).

I find it funny too that JPSO released it so they must think it helps their public perception...

Same. A 17 year old who goes to a private school isn't that stupid.

You can yell at a cop, eve after he identified himself.

The only two charges that could have given PC for initial arrest are inciting a riot (Hanging with friends after a parade) and the battery on an officer (the "push")

Because again, the cop has a record of this behavior.

I would like to see a full video as well. In my mind it doesn't really matter if the kid pushed the cop prior to the video. Even if he did push the cop nothing which happened required the level of force used by the cop.

I will believe a 17 year old from a decent family over a tatted-up mma fighter with a history of police brutality.

The kid is definitely more intelligent than the cop.

Good to see you somehow know this kid and his family.
