I've seen this countless times but I've never watched it in action. How does a cop do this? If I'm summoned by a cop to pull over along with multiple other cars and someone does pull over, I'm continuing my drive. What is he going to do - tell the one who pulled over to kindly stay there while he comes after me and brings me back to the original location?
Maybe I'm stupid but I just don't see how cops are able to do this. What's more, I don't see why multiple people actually listen and pull over once the first one does.
First speeding ticket I ever got (15-16 years old) was with one of my friends while we were screwing around. Cop pulled up besides me and pointed to the side, then jumped ahead of me and pulled behind the other guy to get him to pull over. The ole 2fer.

Several years ago - I was getting on I-110 by the BR airport and cop on a bike was setup on the loop for seat belt / inspection sticker check. He had like 4 people pulled over - he walked into the road and saw my inspection sticker was expired and pointed for me to pull over. I waved at him and kept on rolling.
Ain't nobody got time for that!!

Yeah go ahead and not pull over when a cop waives you down. Good luck with that.
done it twice. Once was comingback into the BR on I-12. Cop was standing under overpass with radar gun waving down speeders. There was no way he was catching up to me with the amount of traffic so I just keep going and nothing happened. The other time was on I-20 in between rayville and monroe. Cop pulls the car in front of me over and motions for me to pull over. I don't and I take the next exit and take Hwy 80 for the next few exits then get back on I-20.

I've had a cop pull me over and tell me over his PA to stay there and that he had my license plate number. He went stop another car for speeding with me. Then came back a prolonged period of time after to ticket me.
I wasn't willing to call that bluff.

While in college we were following some girls going to their apartment after the bar closed. Cop pulls up next to us and points to pull over then gets behind the girls and follows them to pull them over. We backed up on the shoulder of the 4 lane about a 1/4 mile to an exit we had just passed. Took exit and got lost as shite for about an hour in a Nation Wildlife Refuge on some dirt roads. Had a case of beer with us and didn't get a ticket or go to jail so it ended well.

State. Would have cared a little less at the local level.

Those who kept driving committed the crime of "disobeying a police officer's order."
HTH.

'bout how pissed was he?
He actually wasn't mad at all. He could have gave me wreckless operation and no telling what else. Just got a speeding ticket and told to slow down. It was about 4 pm on a Monday and I had to bring a peice of equipment to one of my dumbass crews in Beaumont because they forgot it when they left out that morning. I made them pay the ticket.

First, he pulls over one vehicle. Then, he asks for license and registration and promptly gets back in his car and drives off with them. He then pulls over the other vehicle, gets their license and registration, and then gives the first vehicle their ticket and their information back.
This happened to me in Mississippi. I was following about a half-mile behind a corvette that was speeding on my way to Birmingham. I assumed that if there was a cop, he'd nab the corvette and I'd have enough warning to get past him. Instead, he got both of us and pulled us over side by side. I was so impressed that I told the cop that the ticket was worth the price of admission to that show. He was a nice guy. Ended up getting the ticket plead down to a non-moving violation and the fee cut in half.

Just refuse to make eye contact with the cop, keep driving and hope that he doesn't come after you.
Good luck!
Good luck!

My wife is a teacher. She got pulled over in the school zone at 7am on the way to school. Light had literally just started blinking. Cop waves another person over while she was pulled over and she started yelling to the other car that the cop didn't radar them. Cop threatened to arrest my wife.

They get in front of all of the cars and slows down until they are all stopped. It happened to me in college. It sucked because I was the last car of 3 and he wrote the first 2 tickets and then tried to get me for DUI but I wasn't drunk. Then when I wouldn't let him search my car he tried to get a dog out but it took him like 20 minutes to find out none were available. The entire thing took almost 2 hours but at least he didn't find my drugs.
