I've recently noticed some of the O&G guys telling us how paying $50-$100 more per month for gas is nothing and shouldn't bother us have also been posting on the Tech Board or Movie/TV board looking to cut the cord to save $50-$100 per month.
A little hypocritical if you ask me.

It'll hang around in the 50's a good portion of the year, will finish in the high 60's, and be in the 80's next year. $20 is not happening

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine from high school posted an article on FB about O&G guys losing their jobs basically playing the woe is me card. Then yesterday he posts a pic of his brand new F-250 complete with lift kit, big tires, pipes, and as he put it the best that money can buy stereo to play that FGL.

It is funny, but their defense is they are just making fun of the same people that like to make fun/brag all the time
I'm on the fringe of O&G, but it does have a pretty decent effect on my work and plenty of my colleagues.
Eta: I feel like I've seen way more anti O&G posts than I've seen ones of workers bragging about money and putting down people in other fields.

I have too but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy egging it on.
BTW, this is still the best prediction ever by an O&G guy on this board. It happened weeks before the layoffs started and this guy claims to be in O&G and is the buyer / seller for his company.
