Would Dr. Richard Kimble have been held responsible for all the crimes he committed while he was a fugitive?

The absolute worst crime from that movie was Tommy Lee Jones taking home the Best Supporting Actor Oscar over DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

The question is, would anyone actually go forward with prosecuting someone who did all of that in order to find their wife's killer and prove their innocence?

Considering what happened, I bet Kimble would get a pardon or something from the Governor.

Pretty sure he did an awful lot of jaywalking in that movie too.

Quite likely, although he'd probably be shown lenience.

Given all he had to accomplish to prove his innoncence, I'm sure he would have been given suspended sentences.

Also, in light of the fact that he saved TWO lives (the little boy on the cart in the hospital and the police guard he saved from the bus before the train hit it), they might have gone easy on him.

I always wanted the movie to end on a postscript of Kimble later walking into the office of the 2 a-hole DAs who prosecuted him and spit in their eyes....then sue all of them and obtain a judgment from them....
