Scherff
Shelton
Fowler
Erving
Shaq Thompson
I know people will disagree with this but I think McKinney could be there in the 2nd round at pick #12. It's just that LB's aren't as valued as they once were. McKinney kind of reminds me of Karlos Dansby when he came out of Auburn. Both of them are pretty tall for a LB and both have the range to cover the pass.
here is look at some recent inside linebackers and where they went in the draft:
2014:
Ryan Shazier- #15
CJ Mosley- #17
2013:
Alec Ogletree- #30
Kiko Alsono- Round 2 pick #14
Jamie Collins- Round 2 pick #20
2012:
Luke Kuechly- #9
Dante Hightower- #25
Courtney Upshaw- Round 2 pick #3
Mychal Kendricks- Round 2 pick #14
Bobby Wagner- Round 2 pick #15
Lavonte David- Round 2 pick #26
I don't think its a stretch to think we could get a good pick at ILB in the 2nd round.
I just don't see us picking one in the 1st round. The Saints have avoided doing that for years. I don't see what makes this year any different.

For the first round. And realistic too.

1. Collins
2. Collins
3. Collins
4. Collins
5. Collins
If Drew doesn't have a solid O'Line, we are 7-9 again next year.

I see a lot of people naming Fowler, but realistically, he won't get out of the top 10. Maybe not even out of the top 5.

1. Alvin Dupree
2. La'el Collins
3. Jaelen Strong

Yeah it's looking more and more like it. However at the time I made this post he was a top-10ish guy and there was a slight possibility he could fall to 13.
At this point I have him as my #2 prospect overall behind Williams. So it's wishful thinking now.

And Scherff wants to play here....

We have already seen that if its someone that Payton and Loomis really want they will move up to get em

no doubt, but i think you sit where you are and draft a guy like Dupree, who i think can consistently be a double-digit sack guy, or La'el Collins

He is top 5 for me....which sucks for the Falcons
Really want him in Quinn's system

As much as I'd love to have him I highly doubt Scherff falls to us. I'll be surprised if he falls past the Giants at 9.

If Giants and JPP don't come to an agreement on a contract, I could definitely see them going for a pass rusher.

Well, his bench-press numbers from Thursday don't make the most compelling case for him (he put up 23 reps, which tied for 24th of the 37 offensive linemen who lifted), but maybe that's just not his event.
If he keeps putting up numbers like this, he may just fall to us.
Posted on 2/19/15 at 11:13 pm to htran90
Well yeah that's possible but I just mean if he's even there. I think he's separating himself from the rest of the field (lineman) and is a top-10 pick. Who knows tho, maybe we can get lucky.
