CBS executives would beg to differ. Nantz is undergoing therapy as I type.

Nantz hates Tiger, so he might actually be happy.

Phil "The Family Man" Mickelson being out would be a different a story, though

On a more serious note, if Tiger doesn't play and Rory and/or Phil isn't in contention Sunday afternoon, I expect the CBS ratings to tumble.

Tigers body is breaking down.

Tiger fans can deny it all they want but the fact that remains his swing speed was so hard and fast for years, it has worn down his body.

Bad back, bad knee, who knows what else, is now THE factor. Plus his mental edge is gone, been gone for years.
He is no longer a 25 year old on top of the world. .
The big 40 is right around the corner for him. Time takes it toll, on all us.

He was warned about this years ago when he first went pro. Now its time to pay the piper.

Great golfer no doubt, probably one of the top 3-4 golfers ever.

It might not be a bad time to just step away completely for him. He has some health issues that are only getting worse as he goes along. So Tiger didn't wind up as the GOAT... he's still a great one. The guy isn't hurting for cash. Maybe a comfortable retirement is called for here.

Sure it matters what people think of him. He will forever be linked with his Swedish blonde trying to skull him with a pitching wedge while he drove in reverse.

He is the Muhammed Ali of golf. He was the greatest, and the first great black golfer. That is etched in stone.

Now he has to revamp his swing and body to be an old guy's swing.
Maybe he will win a few on the senior tour.
He can heal and learn a new swing and be in the limelight later on.

No more Masters. Jack throws a long shadow.

But not an indefinite leave from ESPN articles or MSB threads. Still #1.

He won 5 times including The PLAYERS in 2013 making him PGA tour player of the year.

I hope he comes back strong, but I like the future of the PGA tour with or without him.
