Last time I checked it was only 3 minced meat BBQ for $1. Still a deal!

It was still 4/1$ in 1974..

McDonald's doesn't even call it the Dollar Menu anymore. It is something like the Value menu at the one nearest my house. I rarely get actual food from there though outside of breakfast. Ice Creams and shakes, and I can't complain about the fries either.

Every now and then they do the 2/$2 sausage biscuits. That is what I'd go with for the $1 item.

2 Jack-In-The-Box tacos

Followed closely by McD's spicy chicken.

$1 jumbo Jacks and McDoubles lasted much longer than they should have. I'd like to think that I contributed to both companies recent revenue declines.

Ray's does have some dirt cheap BBQ sandwiches but I can't make myself order anything other than a poboy. I've had the fried chicken once or twice.

McDonald's spicy chicken sandwich, no mayo, add big mac sauce

They charge extra for mac sauce, so this violates the rules.

They also charge extra for leaf lettuce which I find crazy. At least they used to, haven't been there in forever.

BK,, Burger King?
I don't know anything about Burger King, except sometimes it seems dangerous to go inside to get a whopper....

I remember when McDs had $1 triple cheeseburgers. I was a broke college student at the time so needless to say I hit that up at least 3 times a week. Also use to get 3 hot dogs for $1 at Circle K

glad to see this thread is still going.

its a challenge in 2015 to find a decent food item for $1.

i also would make McDs sausage biscuit and sausage mcmuffin a contender for top $1 breakfast item.

The only $1 fast food menu item I will admit to eating and liking is the not-so-awful apple pie @ McDonalds. It has a weird, faux-cinnamon aroma that reminds me of childhood.

McDonald raised most of their prices on breakfast value menu last week.
Breakfast burrito was 1.00 now 1.29. I wonder if my customers would mind if I raised prices by those kind of percentages.

A little more than a dollar {1.39} but the crispy chicken Caesar wrap from Wendy's...two of those and a chocolate frosty and you're good for the day...

Yep, 5 years ago I could have a feild day with this question. Nowadays if a good item starts at $1 it will be $1.50 in a matter of weeks
