Found a camp Scott went to in Houston in April 2014. He's listed at 5'10" 185. No results posted for him, no SPARQ rating listed either. Why?
Not uncommon for Dual Threat QBs to shy away from "ratings". The concern is being labeled an "Athlete" (ATH).
2015's number 1 QB in the nation - Kyler Murray - 5'11 (178), Signed at Texas A&M - has never done a sparq rating ( 13 on Espn 300) LINK
At that same camp as Scott, two other QBs did not get rated.
1. Lowell Narcisse
2. Bladrick Veal

In my opinion, there is not more college ready player in 2016 than Ed Alexander.

I know Devin White can play RB, but it seems like an unusually down year for the position in the state. Very interesting, who are LSU's top targets at the position for this class?

We really have no need for more RBs, I wouldnt be surprised if we are recruiting him almost exclusively at LB, but telling him he can move to RB if he doesnt work out at LB.

One thing is for sure, he is a bonafide football player!!!!! I agreed, its stacked at RB already!!!

I know it's not a top need, but we almost always take at least 1

This list is a college prospect list not a top high school player list.
I talked to one of his teammates and allegedly Mizzou has been looking at him. Problem with him is he has no seed offers. What D1 school wants to be the only offer posted? Makes the gurus question your judgement...

"Under the radar" - I'd say that this kid is under the radar. It appears that he produces when the lights come on. Thats all you can do. College coaches dont care about rivals or nike camps. that stuff is for subscribers.
Plays when the lights come on! I like that. In the last two yrs he lost to Brandon Harris in a tight one in State qtrs, lost opener last year to Byrd by 3, and lost to Acadiana in state semis by 6.

I went to Zachary for most of High School. Team underachieved a lot before he got there. Scott really has carried that team and brought it to where they've went. And I was at the game when he played Brandon Harris, it was one hell of a game.

I want the back committed to Moo State if for only that reason.

I saw him against Acadiana in the semi's and idk if he was hurt but he didn't play very well. He had a great Oline and had time to throw. Didn't complete too many passes and threw 3 ints. Seemed timid when he did take off, but he did have some wheels on him. If he is that good he will go somewhere and shine and not worry about not being in the top 50 in a very loaded class. Just my 2 cents.

Scott threw 2 interceptions (not 3). 1st one came at start of 4th qtr. The last one occurred from his own 10 with 1:10 left in the game. The drive before that, he actually led Zachary on an 80 yd drive with 4 mins left, all with his legs and arm. He Avoided a sack in his own endzone and completed a pass. 2 plays later scampered for 30+ plus yards into Acadiana territory. ran the ball again to set up 4th and short from the Acadiana 26. He then completed a pass on 4th down to make 1st and 10 (from the 23) with more than 4 mins on the clock. Zachary squandered that game winning opportunity on 2 and 8, with a double pass/lateral to the WR. WR threw a pick from the 22. In the end, Zachary was a passing team, whose leading rusher was its QB. They wasted to much time with too many unsuccessful zone read attempts and bubbles screens.

Whats the knock on him that there seems to be no interest in him by the board and by recruiting sites. It's just one dudes opinion (smiths) but he does devote more of his time than the average person, gets published by a local newspaper and partly get paid for his evals of these guys.
19. Michael Divinity, LB, 6-2, 200, John Ehret

Wow, did not know that. That's pretty sad if you can't get a 2.0 and a 18 on the ACT (it might even be lower than that).
Sure is, the kid was really talented too. I just looked up his stats and he did pretty well in JUCO. He was accounting for 250 yards a game at East Central which was more than Mettenburger who was at Butler at the time.
I assume after he was done at JUCO he still didn't have the grades to play or was unwilling to switch positions. I remember bigger schools like Mississippi State were recruiting him as a DB.

Ah so it was a halfback pass that was intercepted.
Still, I'm not judging him by one game but it did seem like, in that game anyway, he was much more dangerous with his feet. He was off on a lot of his throws but then again its only one game. I hope he gets to play in college somewhere

Can't argue with what you saw. Offense just didn't produce. 6 dropped passes on the night. No run game. Kinda hard to judge anyone versus arguably the top defense in the state. As said by Getmorewithles, but for his body of work, the semi-finals never happens. I hope he gets his shot too. Ivy League caliber student. He'll be fine either way.

Thank you for turning this thread about the Nifty 50 into one entirely about a player who didn't make it.

Roach is a beast! Recruiting trail is just going to have to catch up with him. And it will. He'll have more than his fair share of collegiate suitors. Then the websites and stars will follow.
