I didnt list 2010.

2008 we were 23rd in the country in offensive points per game.

Yea, Jennings will progress from not being able to hit the broad side of the barn to not being able to hit the big door on the barn.

With our receivers, that just might be enough.

Our offense will, without question, be considerably better next season. I highly doubt it'll be good enough to appease all the rantards, though.

We'll see. It's not like he's being asked to fit NFL type passes into tight windows. He had trouble completing basic routes last season, oftentimes without even getting within several yards of a completion. If the threat of even a basic pass isn't there, teams will just stack the box again.

We just signed a 5 star running back..two 5 star receiver/athletes and probably the best oline haul in the country.

Right because RB, WR and OL were the problems on offense this year...oh wait.

All I can say is, give Cam a chance. BH seems to see the handwriting on the wall.

I disagree with this completely. our OL now has grimes schemes down and our QB was a lot better at the end of the year. yes, he struggles passing but he played plently good enough to be notre damn. our D layed that egg. AJ was much more comfortable and seemed to be "getting it" the last 2 games.

having said that, it would be great if BH would step up and give us a downfield passing attack.

Yeah, 2008 wasn't a bad year because of the offense. 2008 was a bad year because of the co-DC experiment.

JLee throwing all the pick-sixes didn't help, but our offense still put up points that year. We just gave up even more.

if Harris wins the job, he wont have that much experience
OTOH, we have been conditioned to expect the worst from our QBs because that is mostly what we've seen since Mett graduated. Even without a lot of previous snaps Harris with a bit more maturity next season should still be light years ahead of AJ, even with no tweaks to the offensive scheme.

The apologists will continue to blame RP for getting kicked off the team as the reason for our QB and offense stinking up the field. There doesn't seem to be a statute of limitations on that.

Cameron eluded to changing the offense up after the loss to ND. Hopefully Miles allows him to do so. Need to get our RBs and QBs in open space more. Use the whole field.

We shall see. I'm optimistic though!

He'll have more experience than either Winston or Manziel did entering their Heisman seasons.

Now, it's up for debate if he's received the same level of coaching as they did, but most of the fan-base believes he's on their level talent-wise.

I don't care if a qb was born on campus and stayed 18 years, it doesn't mean he will be successful under this regime.

Just remember L M is calling the plays, it will be the same S@@@.

But I guess we can hope he sees what the problem is

Unless the offense is better, right? Then it must be someone else calling the plays.

My head is gonna explode if Harris starts this year and doesn't get the offense playing at even average level and then the pumpers tell us to give him a pass this year because he's inexperienced.
