I know I have seen a few posters wondering about his eligibility and if he ever got cleared. The advocate reported this morning that he is and is ready to go.

To give a little insight on how good this kid can be they were saying that the new OT commit Valentine-Okeke was a high school teammate and the only player on the football team who would dare go up against Tre in one on one drills. Although the new commit is a 4-5 star talent the coach telling the story said that Chidi Valentine Okeke would only beat Tre maybe 1 in 10 times. If true that's incredible and has to have you pumped about his potential

Down the page where it says "VALENTINE PUMPED"

Or... Assuming Mike Tunsil is correct...

quote:

Valentine, the 6-foot-3, 325-pound defensive tackle, is excited about beginning spring practice and being eligible next fall, Tunsil said.

The coach communicates with Valentine about “four to five times a week,” he said.

Valentine took a redshirt last season after the Southeastern Conference would not rule him eligible. Tunsil said Valentine is eligible for the 2015 season.

“He’s looking forward to it and pumped,” Tunsil said. “He’s cleared now.”

Valentine practiced with LSU during the fall but couldn’t play in games. He’s now like every other player, Tunsil said: If he continues to maintain a qualifying GPA at LSU, he’s eligible to play.

Yeah, the new kid had just gotten off a plane from Nigeria, and thought a football was round. Look, I hope TV turns out great, but we hear this shite every year about someone who turns out to be average. Last year it was Frank Herron.
