Mine would be a treehouse (suspended only using one tree) and a console table for the girl.

I'll try to get some pics of the treehouse tomorrow. Looking for some inspiration to build something this weekend.

Contemplated giving a pirogue a shot

There's some cool shite that you can build on this website. She gives some pretty detailed plans and if I had the tools, i would have build 1/2 of it by now.

I built this outdoor "hall tree" from old cypress wood from our family's first camp at grand isle. Shutters from the camp are the sides. The camp was built in the late 1800s and finally torn down after hurricane Betsy. The back of the piece is a pine barn door from my wife's family property also from the turn of the 20th century.

I've posted these before but every so often I build a batch of these for some side cash. Did a few in the tin but hate doing them. The purple/gold one was my favorite but ended up selling it.

Not really outdoor related but I started buildings furniture for the house a few months ago. Now I have about 3 more items the wife wants. These are my first projects.

Coffee table

Dining table

Never thought I'd enjoy it, but its a fun hobby.

Privacy fence. Easy, 8 ft slabs from lowes, saves you thousands.

Not too much. Lift blocks for my truck. Most of the shite I build is unimpressive and just a cheaper way to make something I could otherwise buy a better version of.

Built my parents a cypress "picnic" table for the camp at Toledo.

Milled all the lumber and most joints are mortise and tenon. It is 4 pieces connected with large stainless bolts.

Now my sister wants me to build her one.

Most functional: built in ice chest in my boat.
Best looking: helped my great uncle (RIP) build a shite ton of furniture and his kitchen cabinets, all red cedar.
Biggest: Outdoor kitchen still a WIP, roof should go up in Feb.
I used to do a lot of scroll work, moved and didnt have room for the saw anymore so I havent done anything in a while, made some neat stuff.

Don't have any pics, but yall would get a big kick out of seeing some of the mountain tree stands I've put up during the years. I'll add that it ain't much fun carryin that lumber up into the mountain woods.

One of my coworkers and I designed and fabricated this project at my old job. The top is 12-13 feet off the ground for scale.

i suck at building things. But this is my favorite. The tailgate is off of my late grandpas old chevy pickup. Truck was ran down and rusted out but i wanted something to have that i could always remember him by and honor him. So me and my dad buily this. I know the pic sucks, but it looks good. Left the tailgate as is, and put clear coat on it.

also, the reason for the tags is, the God one was on the front of the truck, The anyique tag was still ok the back, and the other was the original tag when he got the truck, it was still under the seat.

eta... found a better pic

So far I have built an outdoor coffee table (will get pics), an "L" corner desk (now destroyed), a Bathroom Vanity (will get pics), a few walls and all the base boards in my current house.

The outside coffee table was my favorite.

Currently working on a lean too for the boat, and designing a box stand that can be broken down and moved. Also been commissioned to build a corner storage unit.

Also making cutting boards. Hope to try wooden spoons in the near future.

A lot of this stuff is awesome and makes we want to get into building things.
I have built a recurve bow out of pvc and fiberglass that's about the coolest things.

For the guys that build furniture.... did someone teach you or did you just start with building small things and work your way up? What are some essential tools I one would need for wood working? Thanks
