I think Sherman and all cry baby athletes need to gain some perspective in their life and shut the frick up... shite is exhausting to watch and listen to after working a 12 hour shift. I get it, they're the best in their profession...so are Navy test pilots

I really don't give a frick if they never interviewed another NFL player. If they signed a contract requiring to do it then honor the contract or pay the price. If they act like an arse that shouldn't be considered honoring the contract and should pay the price again.
If a reporter ask some stupid arse question the league should review it and ban or suspend their credentials.

Surprised by the responses in here. I can tell he's being over the top and almost sarcastic with the "every personnel" comment, but imo he's spot on about Goodell. Players get fined for not talking, but Goodell can barely craw out of his rock when scandals are happening constantly on his watch?

Would anyone really miss Sherman in the NFL?

He's right. I like Richard Sherman. He's a smart guy and he stirs shite up. He'll make a mint working on ESPN, NBC, Fox or CBS

This is surprising.
If anyone but Sherman had said this everyone would think this was a brilliant idea. You guys hate Goodell. You just hate Sherman more.
Anyway, it was a tongue-in-cheek comment. People need to lighten up.

Umm why? Sherman is a smart dude but he is trying too hard for his teammate here.
He's not that smart. Commish and player media engagements don't have the same revenue generating power. I think Sherman is a moron.

Sherman should eat a dick. I don't tell my big boss that I want to go have a golf meeting on Friday.
Roger Goodell is not Sherman's boss. Paul Allen is Richard Sherman's boss and technically Goodell's as well. If Paul Allen and Pete Carroll don't care, then Sherman may speak his mind. If he violates his contract then fine him.
I actually agree with him that Roger Goodell should make himself available to the media (not the fake BS ones)every so often. A state of the league update from Goodell every month (Instead of every week) during football season does seem like a good idea.

I find this statement so funny. Sherman is generating more revenue right now than if he actually answered the questions properly. I mean for frick sake, the forums has been speaking about Sherman more than any other NFL player right now. Currently, he is the top NFL player trending on twitter.

All because he is oligated to speak to the media.

Upvoted. Like it or not, almost everyone would rather hear Roger Goodell answer questions this week over any player in the Super Bowl. If the point of the players speaking is to give the fans what they want, well...what we really want is to hear the rat-faced commish try to weasel his way out of another scandal under his watch.
To those that say he wouldn't have much to say without the scandals - Finding out what Goodell thinks of the defensive penalty spikes this year (or even who he thinks is the favorite) is more entertaining than player A from Super Bowl Team A regurgitating played out lines we've heard before.

Goodell should be forced to be interviewed by real "journalists," not NFL shills like Peter King and Rich Eisen. People whose livelihood isn't directly related to the man they're sucking up to in their "exclusive interviews."
You guys are idiots.
Players have to do interviews because it is in the best interest of the game. It's not a punishment. It's part of the job.
It absolutely is not in the best interest of the NFL to have the commissioner set up to have to do tough interviews on a regular basis.
So many people can't see the forest through the trees.
