In Georgia you can get drug tested for 6 months for a lowly MIP.

It blows my mind that people don't think private entities can test for whatever the frick they want and how often they want and they forget that the people who end up failing the tests agreed to those policies beforehand

It's not like Josh Gordon didn't know he could get tested for it. He did and he took the risk and it fricked him

One of the rules in pretrial diversion is that you can't drink while enrolled. And you can absolutely fail one of the drug screens for alcohol and be reprimanded. I know this because I did that exact thing

Semantics, but I meant isolated alcohol use. Obviously it is still illegal if you are operating machinery or driving but not the alcohol use itself.

Even if you have an office job and get tested for drinking the previous 2 days, and fail and get fired, it's not illegal.

I get that my statement is easily hole poke able but you know what I mean.

Yea sure in terms of the law it's legal to drink but if you want to work and make money at certain places you have to follow their rules. Simple as that

I agree 100%.

I'm just bashing the rules at certain places

I can guarantee I wouldn't even be near a beer basted chicken if I was in Josh Gordon's shoes.

Huh.

Not surprised.

I wonder how many drug tests he's taken over the last several months.

he either must have thought he found a way to beat the system or just doesn't give a frick.

probably just doesn't care.

at least not enough.

I've known many people arrested for pot possession or pot DUI`s and everyone of them was prohibited from drinking alcohol while on probation and were tested for it and all drugs. It`s actually very common in many states whether you've heard of it or not.

Fair enough, everyone I've ever known to be in such legal trouble must just be lucky, or have good lawyers.

exactly

But I risked it one time trying to chase some tail. I'd say it was worth the extra month of having the breathalyzer in my car

Pendulum has the ONLY correct answer.

I know a guy who was going to be tested for pot for a job he wanted who would not go to a friend's where it was going to be smoked, lest he inhale enough to show up in the test.

You know what else is kind of crazy? Is that when you're on probation you can be taken to jail for any unlawful infraction from not properly stopping at a stop sign, running a red light, and any other minor infraction you can think of.

Now most of the time they aren't going to take you to jail for those minor offenses but they are technical terms of probation that require a signature to avoid going to jail for the original offense that caused the probation.
