Well if they actually have this lead into Treasure Island Billy has to get back in good enough with Flynt and Silver to have the opportunity to steal the map that leads to the treasure they are likely taking off of that beach.
Before the beginning of S2E2, I was beginning to wonder if the writers were going to take us down the path that Flint was maybe in hiding/assumed the name of Billy Bones in Treasure Island (to stay under the radar and perhaps avoid revenge attacks from whoever), but now that Billy is alive that is obviously out the window.
It's been forever since I read Treasure Island, though, so it was a pretty weak theory on my part.

Season 2 is what we hoped the show would be from the start. Fantastic season so far, much better than season 1.

The first half of season one was very slow but that was because they had to set the stage. It started to pick up the last half. But yes, this season has been absolutely incredible. I feel like this show is about to take off and win all kinds of awards.
By the way, Eleanor is a whore but I'd do dirty dirty things to her. She also apparently likes it in the butt
Vane is a bad mother fricker with all the stuff he pulled last night. I still am all #TeamFlint though.

All Team Vane. He's done with the fort. Flint thinks it's the ultimate power play but my boy is about to sail and pillage some shite for real.
And still love some Jack too. Love that he's getting the two for one for being a boss.

I wasn't expecting Lowe's story line to come to a "head" like it did so quick. I don't love the flint flashbacks but otherwise season is very good so far.

ISWYDT. Vane is a badass. Seems like Flint is just destined to fail. All the characters are great except for Guthrie. That chick is annoying with her bipolar mood swings.

Yeah, I was expecting them to keep the latest historical pirate added to the mix around for a bit longer than three episodes.
Most of the flashbacks haven't been too interesting, but it is definitely leading up to showing us why Flint is the way he is. Some event will "awaken" him into his pirate life.

That was fantastic. I did not see that coming at all.
"What do I get out of it?"
"A head start"

I think Flint will probably end up with the gold but I'm not sure if he gets it back to Nassau.

That whole sequence-from him paddling out on the longboat to the sign in town-was indeed badass.

Ahhh sniggity snap.
"Fire"
shite is so damn real.
Also, I know everybody is not a fan of the flashbacks but I'm really, really intrigued at seeing how we get to the point where we are with Thomas being dead and Flint who Flint is. I have a feeling ol' Lord Ash, since he likes to hang pirates these days, may have had something to do with Thomas' death.

So yeah. That just happened. I thought her and her husband had an arrangement. Def didn't see that with flint.
Posted on 2/22/15 at 12:02 am to Puck82
I didn't either. I figured him and her were doing their thing in some kind of open relationship and that Thomas was probably gay. But not with Flint.

Put me on Team Vane now. I'm kind of pissed at where they took Flint's character. I may be done with the show. Such a bullshite story arc.

Doesn't it only have one season left anyway due to high production costs?
