Don't forget Geert Hammink.

Stanley Robert's, Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Gert Hammink, four first round picks all on the same team.
Yea, it's crazy to think that the magic selected a big man from LSU three years in a row with their first round pick. Roberts in '91, Shaq in '92, and Geert in '93.

I don't think it can touch late 70's/early 80s classes of DeWayne Scales, Rudy Macklin, Greg Cook, Leonard Mitchell, Howard Carter, Ethan Martin, Willie Sims, Ty Black
the 1981 team is the greatest tiger team I have ever seen.

Had Dennis (who is a really smart guy) been a better student he would have become a real player over time.
IF Dennis was such a really smart guy, then why wasn't he a better student?

Not in the same recruiting class, though. CJ was a year before Shaq and Stanley...
I still remember ESPN cutting in early in the SEC season showing Chris Jackson when LSU was playing Florida, I believe. If I remember correctly, he scored 53 that night hitting from everywhere inside the half court line. A star was born that night. My figures could be slightly off, and even the team, but I do believe it was Florida and I do believe he scored in the 50's to officially introduce himself to the nation.

Wouldn't say it's the top class but there's no doubt in my mind that Simmons and Blakeney will perform at a very high level.. Simmons is one of the best players I have ever seen and Blakeney is a top 2 shooting guard in this class with an amazing work ethic. These two are going to be all stars. I just hope Johnny can talk Martin and Mickey into staying.
