Anybody watched the new pilots on Amazon prime?

They just put out several new pilots, and are letting people decide which one they will produce fully. So far, I've watched Cocked, The Man in the High Castle, and Mad Dogs. Have to say MITHC was the best, based on the Philip K. Dick book and produced by Ridley Scott. The other two felt a little forced. Good casts, though.

that's the only one I've watched, it was really good. Probably won't check out the others, i've heard they weren't too good

What's Man in the High Castle about?

an alternative history where the Germans and Japs won World War II, and America is divided up by the German Reich on the east coast and the Japs on the West. And there is a resistance against them brewing

Sounds worth checking out, thanks.

I just read that "Red Oaks" has been green lit, so I'm happy about that

Damn, that sounds interesting. I can just go to the Amazon video app to watch?

That's high fantasy. Even if the Germans and Japanese somehow managed to find enough resources to invade and win, they couldn't occupy the United States on top of all their other conquests.

I have prime so that comes along with the membership. I'm sure you can watch it without prime, it might charge you though. not sure

You sound like a lot of fun.

It is free for everyone. Have to sit through a Geico commercial before it plays though.

Did anything ever happen with Bosch? I've read most or all of the books and thought it would be a good show. Never watched the Pilot but I did see it on Prime.

I have only watched Mad Dogs so far. I liked it but didn't love it, I would watch more though

Perhaps. But them having the atomic bomb first and using it on D.C. went a long way towards our surrender.
The book is really interesting so far but significantly different. In it there is an equivalent fictional book about what if the allies had won the war. To the characters in the story this hypothetical seems far fetched.

One atomic bomb ain't doing the US in. 10 atomic bombs ain't doing the US in. Not in world war 2. Germany surrendered after nearly 20% of it's population was killed. Russia kept fighting when 14% of it's population died. Japan lost 5%.
The US lost .32%. Neither the Germans nor the Japanese had realistic options of bombing the US. They tried and failed miserably. The Enola Gay couldn't launch from an aircraft carrier.
It's just silly.
AND I AM FUN!!!!

I too only watch shows that are 100% realistic.
