Immediate suspension for Belicheat, lasting through 2015-2016 season. No consideration ever for HOF.

For Patriots, 1st draft choice next two years and 100 million dollar fine.

And all players have to give their children up for adoption. They are clearly unfit for parenting.

Gotta make it really hurt, after all. Slightly deflating footballs is an unpardonable offense. They should burn.

To me, this is serious in that the Patriots have been publicly caught cheating twice in recent years. They need to be punished severely for that reason, not because the actual offense is so outrageous.

I agree with the poster above who said Brady should be punished the $25K along with whichever ball boy they blame this on. Brady was more likely to be behind it than Belichek was.

In terms of a team punishment, I'd go with cap penalties. Put them at a competitive disadvantage.

as a Pats fan I'm gonna be like an lsu fan and blame this on the officials.

Multiple officials held these balls, under the bus they go.

New report from Shefter: Colts noticed the deflated balls the first time they played (in November) and reported it to the NFL then.

No wonder the Pats (allegedly) deflated them last weekend. If they had done this before and the NFL didn't care enough to do anything about it, why not continue to do it?

They said that the day after when the news first broke, why is Shefty just reporting this? The whole thing is just bad for football

Absolutely. They should at least be suspended or fined for incompetence if they didn't notice the flat balls (which I highly doubt).

The Patriots need to pay big time.

-The team is fined $1 million for each ball that was underinflated

-The team is disqualified from the SB and the Colts take their place

-Belichick and Brady banned from the NFL and all records wiped out.

-Kraft is forced to sell the team

-The team is required to wear a big 'C' (for cheaters) patch on their uniforms for 5 years

-The team is not allowed to touch official game balls prior to kick-off

-The team is not allowed use of any video equipment during the season

-The team must read "mean tweets" to be aired on the NFL network every week for the next season

-The name of the team will be changed from "Patriots" to "Cheating Traitors" until the team is officially sold

-The team is forced to visit the White House and meet with Obama

This just may hinder the cheating in Boston, bvut u never know.

Suspend BB for a year. Pats forfeit the game. They intentionally cheated.

As a Pats fan of more than 5 decades, I can live with all of the above.

Why are the Pats above the rules? There is a standard for every NFL team. Regardless of the final score, they broke the rules and should be taken very serious as they have been known to do this type of behavior in year's past.. There should actually be more of a stern penalty here to send a message.

I'm pretty sure other teams and players on other teams bend and break the rules. The Pats just seem to get caught more often, and because they have been such a great team, they get more flak for it.

Give them a fine for breaking the rules and use it as a reason to make changes to how game balls are monitored during the games.

It doesn't look like the "tampering" had any real effect on the outcome of the game.

He has to wear a suit for the SB game, with a bow tie. Hell no, he has to wear a tux.
