I don't think they are having boys/girls in the same rooms, no? There are schools all over the country (not in the South though apparently) that have co-ed dorms, and it is room by room.

Yes, that's exactly what they are allowing.

groundbreaking! especially considering that that's the most observed rule in college history, right behind under aged drinking, and no booze in frat houses

Funny how things tend to work out for wealthy kids and jocks and fictional people.

to whomever is downvoting my statement that this is terrible, think about it. really think about it.

i know you are probably hoping that it will be hot guy matched up with hot girl and thet will click and bang it out nonstop for the whole semester, but this will rarely if ever be the case.

the people who take this opportunity will be largely HS bf/gf who want to live together in college. what happens when they break up?

or you have a guy and girl who live together but hook up one night. sets a pretty awkward living situation if it dont work out, huh?

or you have a guy who hopes to get a hot girl but gets a cow (or vice versa).

all this is going to do i create a lot more relocation requests on the housing department.

Neither are black schools but GA Southern is like a school for kids who can't get into SEC schools, it's pretty white.

Georgia State is in the middle of Atlanta and may be plurality black, but I'm not sure.

I live like an hour from ga southern. Its a very very very easy school to get into and I know plenty of people who have gone there. Most of them have dropped out and are non functioning alcoholics.

Ga state is a nice but arrogant little school who think they matter but they don't. I'm looking at a couple of grad school things there.

Georgia State has some decent programs and grad schools, but I wouldn't want to go there. It's like UT-D or any other mid tier university in a commuter school package.

The program I'm looking at is a part time program and one of the best of its type. Cost wise and education wise, it's my best option.

it's also for kids, who need in-state tuition, to stay in georgia instead of going to fricking awful sec schools out of state.

kids in georgia are often choosing between ole miss, bama, and ga southern, for example.

In the same room? I can't imagine many decent looking chicks opting for this route.

Either way, would pretty awkward. Essentially, no way to hide from each other when changing clothes and stuff.

Know a number of lawyers who went there, and some friends who did undergrad. My sister did a program part time, like you. It was cumbersome but it worked out fine for her.

You figured me out. I know plenty of law school grads and I would like to go to uga but I doubt I could get in. All my uga law school people say mercer is a joke of a program but they have some sembelence of respect for ga st and I could probably afford it. And it's within the parameters of law schools that are worth it that they told me.

Well it will be cool when it does lead to FWB situations but what about when she brings home two dudes and her male roommate has to watch/listen to it?

Uhh, I hate to say it, but Bama is not in the same universe as Georgia Southern. Georgia Southern is for kids who can't get in to Ole Miss and may not get into Georgia State, but want a college town environment West Georgia and the like don't offer.

I went to UGA Law. GA State is a solid law school that provides decent connections in Atlanta, better than Mercer. Mercer's advocacy work is supposedly strong but the ties aren't as good. GSU is a good value and that is saying something in the post-2008 legal world.
