I've seen countless highlight reels of this kid and he literally looks like a man amongst infants. Size, agility, can shoot the 3. He looks to be unstoppable. Can't wait to see this guy in the PMAC.

Best HS player since Lebron. There hasn't been a guy his size that can handle the ball, pass, and shoot like that. He doesn't shoot a lot now because he doesn't have to but just wait until next year

I hope he stays more than one season, but that's highly doubtful.

Thing that impresses me the most about him is his basketball IQ. He knows how to play without the ball. Every game I've seen him play in he gets a handful of baskets just by knowing when to cut to the basket or getting to a certain spot in the zone. He's already the complete package at such an early stage in his career.

Any chance we bring back the super sophs, and make a run at the final four with him here next season?

I've watched multiple highlight tapes of Simmons, and I'll echo what others have said: He's the best I've seen coming out of high school in a long time.

Good enough to only enjoy him for one year...... maybe. But people said the same about JOB111 so who knows. If he continues to get stronger he could be scary good. Everything is based on potential and that sucks because we have to watch his growing pains as he will struggle some.

IMO he will be the best all-around player LSU has had since John Williams. Except Ben is a better scorer than hot-plate was. Still, it's difficult to say until he suits-up and plays against a higher level of competition. He really plays a step ahead of everyone else mentally. The kind of basketball IQ Magic and Bird played with. His anticipation and reaction are way above the high school level.

Might be the best player out of high school...ever

He is poised and smooth with a BB IQ like no other. For 6'9 to be able to dribble, pass, shoot, etc... is unheard of and I think he is way better than Magic, Lebron, and Koby coming out of high school
