Yea because BR has a great rep for putting crappy restaurants in their place

I'm not going to argue over a business model that someone above just made up.

So you have no idea what you're talking about.

We have people in here that have eaten at the place and worked for the people that own it. Their word holds a little more weight than yours right now.

Fwiw, I hope they do have good food. The city could use it. Im just not getting my hopes up

If that's the case, then they are about to learn that it does matter, and will have to change their business model to one that isn't fricked up.

No they won't.

Food is significantly more important in Nola than BR and they are very successful.

They have learned how to be successful by focusing on other things.

You're saying that a poster is completely making up what this place does.

Multiple people have said the food isn't good. A former employee of the owners other business is saying how strict they are with their food. All their places keep to a strict business plan. I doubt this place will stray from the norm

Yep. So what? I've read in other review sites that said the food is good, not stellar, but good. I prefer to trust thought out reviews rather than one word comments like terrible or horrible.

Ok guy. Vac is almost universally considered to have bad food. It is what it is.

How about going to eat their?

You mean in New Orleans? That ain't gonna happen. I'll be sure to hit the BR one in about four months.

I don't give a shite what other reviews say! Their drinks and salsa/chips are good, but the food is mediocre at best and way overpriced .

This thread has to be one of the oddest examples of knighting for a restaurant I've ever seen.

I hope the food is good. I've been looking for a go-to mexican place to chill at. Superior is generally too pricey and crowded. La Corretta's food I don't find to be that good, and I can't really eat and watch a football game at La Morinita.

I haven't tried Cayote Blues or Zippy's yet

If VC knows what's good for them they wouldn't even open.

The exterior makes it looks like Celebration Station just opened up on a Mexico City corner.

cheap fake rocks, conveniently placed donkey carts, etc. what a joke.

ETA: are they open for lunch today? If so, I'm going to give it a try.

I predict very soon that someone is going to jump into this thread and call a bunch of people food snobs for having issues with the food at VC.
