Gray is under the impression that if he beats his man off the dribble, he is going to shoot. Period.

Really? How about call a TO and make it a point of emphasis to stop settling for rushed 3's instead of just staring blankly while your large lead evaporates

During one late TO, all of the paid coaches were standing together in the middle of the lane while Ronald Dupree was in the huddle giving instructions or just a pep talk. To me, that's inexcusable.

The way he played yesterday, Josh Gray is an absolute liability to this team.

He can make himself valuable, but his game has to mature quite a lot and quite quickly.

Its like having allen iverson on team USA. Iverson was a huge weapon when he is clearly the best player on the floor. When you surround him with equal or better talent and play against similar talent it just doesnt work.

Pretty easy. Turnover machine. For a PG and a ball distributor, he's not a very good ball handler. Drive first mentality. I applaud JJ for the team he's put together, with him being the exception. They need to go;

PG. Patterson
SG. Hornsby
SF. Quartermann
PF. Martin
C. Mickey

Bump Martin, and Mickey down and move Malone, yes Malone to C for a big lineup.

he hurts the team more than he helps them with his play on the court.

Is that hate?

Agreed, the Ole Miss game showed he can be the player we need, unfortunately that's been the exception this year.

played well vs WVU as well but those have been the outliers, the other 10 or so games he's been brutal to be kind

No doubt, but I will say he's really not one of the three point chuckers, his issue is trying to dribble irresponsibly through traffic with no sense of purpose.

Q and Martin are the ones that need to dial back the jacking. Q hitting 6 threes against Georgia won us that game, but it also I think gave him a false impression that he's a better shooter than he really is. A couple of the threes he took yesterday were, what the hell are you thinking types.

gray took some 3 ball shots WAY beyond the arc.

That was the lineup that let Texas A&M come back because it couldn't do anything against the zone.

He was one for three. Nowhere near 10 and never has been. Q was 1 for 7.

Last year people made up shite to bash TQ, now it's Gray. He shoots the least 3 out of the guards and Martin. And I would still rather see him shoot a 3 than fricking Mickey.

while I agree the whole team deserves it's fair share of criticism, most of the Gray talk has been legit. In our 2 losses, you can't deny he's been our worst player playing significant minutes.

what bothers me is he's like Antonio Hudson in the SEC tournament one game, then the very next he's Tack Minor dribbling off his foot again. I can't recall a player ever have such varying levels of play on a game-to-game basis at any level. as a coach, it has to be leaving you scratching your head…does JJ bench him? ride it out? is Gray mentally checked out some games?

shite he may come out and drop 20/10 and we can upset Florida on the road….who knows

I actually think he played poorly in that game. 7 turnovers and the game winning layup was honestly a defensive breakdown on WVU's part.

He did play very well against UMASS though.

Gray was far from our worst player yesterday. He just so happen to make 2 bad play at the end of the game so it all falls on him. He still went 9/5 and had 7 rebounds. He played average not like he's capable though. But if TQ and Keith don't have bad games we arent discussing gray

TQ just needs to realize, Georgia game not withstanding, he's not really a consistent enough shooter to be jacking that many threes.

If he does he'll be fine. If he doesn't it's on CJJ to see that he does.

Agreed TQ is a good player, but needs to know what his game is.
