Davey sat the whole rest of that year too.

He came off the bench after Booty and Nall and looked terrible.
Which led me to make the worst LSU football prediction ever.
I said he was done and would never play again.

Something sure had changed. I'm not complaining as I was likely to have an aneurysm if he kept up the "Jennings played pretty good. He only missed on 1 or 2 passes." talk. But I suspect Miles is starting to feel the heat for the QB woes especially coupled with the defensive uncertainty. Which isn't a bad thing. Pressure needed to be applied to fix our QB situation.

I was told by a players family that he really didn't know the playbook and was struggling hard with pre snap reads and was just winging shite to the point he was actually making plays up. Weather that is true or not I dunno but the source seemed pretty reliable and made sense of why they took the keys away from him the rest of the season.

Do you actually believe that? Did you see that vanilla offense that Jennings ran? Geezus my 9 yr old nephew could have ran those plays.

What did he do in the previous two games he played in? What did Jennings do all year?

Idiot.

Harris had 9 TD's in essentially two halves of games.

Jennings had 11 and played in every game.

He was replaced by Booty and for two years he was a backup till Peach Bowl.

He did not screw up and get the starting job right away.

One coach lost his job. Next coach was adamant that he was not a good practice QB.

Rohan is beloved now. At that time Booty was a fan favorite.

I have no idea whether Harris is the answer to our prayers or at least the better answer. I sure hope so. I've thought all along that there was something behind the scenes that kept Harris off the field. I don't know what it was or is. I've heard rumors like everyone else about him not studying playbooks etc...

I noticed that when Harris played, Jennings was i the thick of things, headset on, on the sidelines. When Jennings played, Harris seemed detached and when shown on the sidelines, he wasn't around Jennings. Now, that could have been a coaching deal where Jennings was told to be where he was and Harris was told to be where he was. Who knows, but I do know that we don't know everything that goes on in spite of numerous leaks. I also know we need a decent QB whatever way it is we get one. Jennings wasn't the answer this past year. Whether Harris is next year, remains to be seen. He's got to want it enough to put in the necessary work. Let's hope he does.

the key is that qbs are the achilles heel of CLM, he simply does not know what to do with them. It is obvious and he is the one to blame for it.

i think harris is the qb of the future and he will start. With that said, I'm quickly growing tired of his immature arse.

Freshman are not suppose to talk to the media, the kid goes back home and does an interview. He's threaten to transfer several times. He tweets about working hard and hints to not getting a fair shot. However, when he gets his shot, he fumbled snaps, he turned the wrong way on hand off's, he had no idea where to go with the ball before it's snapped.

basically, i'm not jennings fan, however, at least he keeps his mouth shut, works hard, supports his teamates and doesn't cause drama.

harris needs to keep his arse off twitter, his mouth away from reporters, and spend his time studying football and in the class room.

Where do some of you get this shite from? Do you just assume that this is what's going on, then just start posting it as fact?

Booty was a fan favorite in 1999. In 2000 after the UAB game, it was Rohan. The TENN game he played was iconic and essentially made him a folk hero. Had his knee still not been fully healed from a basketball injury he suffered in the Spring he'd have completely taken over the QB spot after that game. Ironically though, Booty came back after Ro was unable to go and eventually played well enough that season to be 1st All SEC on the Coaches' ballot.

And your point about Saban is correct. We hear all the time about our current coach and his inability to pick the right QB...and forget that Rohan basically waited until his RS Senior year before he was handed the keys to the offense... LSU fans seemed to be super happy about that...it was rare to run into a dickhole who, in the face of great times, would have the balls to say something like, "Dammit! He should have been playing the last three years!!!11!11"

At a time when Saban was speaking semi candidly to the Gridiron Club members, he said that he had one QB who worked his tail off, at practice, studying film, busting his arse off to be a leader, but was only "average " physically. Then he said he had another ( Rohan but he mentioned no names ) who ran the streets, goofed off, was lazy, avoided the film room, dogged it, was not liked by the leaders of the team, but had All American talent. He asked us which QB should he play. Not saying Harris fits all this, but there is too much smoke out there bout his being lazy, immature is a word that is heard often, and like a previous post, was actually calling some of his old highschool plays. And not in just the Aubbie game. In practice at times, too. So, which QB would you play?

Threw a long pass that went down on the one yard line.

He led the team to one TD. Jennings led the team to none.

I've said this before, but there is any scholarship QB on LSU's roster that is worse than Jennings they need to find a new career. At this point we have a large sampling of Jennings at QB and I've seen enough to know that if he keeps the starting job he will be a legend at LSU for all the wrong reasons.

After so many unclear and evasive answers, and after so many promises for change, I am extremely skeptical. However, Miles is clear on two points: 1) the QB position IS open; and 2) BH has impt skills and abilities that AJ doesn't. Let's hope that Miles is being frank and hope that BH "steps up to the plate". This "QB misery" is very, very interesting.
