The blatantly obvious facts (Assuming Steele is the Hire)

1.) The coaching search was very limited. The names we heard up front were the actual names.
2.) Any news that was leaked about possible BIG hires was BS in an attempt to garner more interest or appease the fan base
3.) Miles main criteria for this hire was to find someone to coach LBs. Many will call that strategy over simplistic (more on this later)
4.) Steele was Hannagriff's name (Look past the name and at the resume)
I believe that I've been very level-headed during Miles' tenure. Most would call me a positiger a minimum...even a sunshine pumper. I'm not jumping off the LSU bandwagon. But, Les Miles' departure will be determined by this hire. If Steele outperforms the expectations, Les will leave on his own terms (probably in 2-3 years). If Steele is a failure, Les will be fired within 2 years.
And, as a level headed person, that is totally fair. If Steele is a failure, Miles should be gone sooner rather than later.

I have been a pumper, but this hire is underwhelming.
I hope I am wrong...I am starting to be over Miles.

quote:He should be fired now simply for making this god awful hire. This is proof that he's trying to destroy the program from the inside. There is NO other logical explanation. This guy is a proven FAILURE. Not an unknown. Not an experiment. A loser, a proven fricking loser.
Miles should be gone sooner rather than later

His resume as anything other than a position coach has been horrid.

Les won't leave until his contract is up. You can get that silly idea out of your head.

This is exactly how I'm looking at it. Granted I'm still very underwhelmed by the hire. We lost a LB coach and went out and got another. Still have Raymond for DBs and Haley for DL. Our Defense will be fine. If not then I agree Miles' seat will be on fire

Hanagriff said on radio today that Smart was the name he was told not Steele.

Hanny's name was Kirby Smart, he confirmed it Monday I thought

And once Miles is fired, the negas will realize that this just isn't as desirable of a job as they think it is... primarily because of them.

If Miles get launched, you better hope that Alleva is gone too. You don't want that idiot within 20 miles of a head coaching hire.

I never believed him because Smart didn't meet the "look past the name" comment.
Nevertheless, I think what's more important was the process behind this hire.

So it's the fan base's fault, not Les Miles. Got it.

primarily because of the...fans?

primarily because of the decline and les's inability to produce a quality offense more than once every 5 years
this disaster is proof that the LSU brand is tarnished and les has led us to tDecline
