We're 50% of the first 6%, so basically 3% max. I think its "ok" for the size of the company... Certainly not great, but I'm grateful to have something.
This is the same for my company. Every year we have gotten a profit sharing bonus applied to our 401(k) that varies between 1.5% to 2.5% in addition to the 3% match I already received. Other companies with similar work as mine offer anywhere between 2% - 4% 401(k) match

Considering my company doesn't do any match I'd say that is good.
Maxing out my 401k on my own and also traditional IRA so I guess i'm good. Place is awesome to work for they pay 100% of our health insurance, cell phone, dental, vision so I guess it all averages out.

If they pay 100% of your family health plan, yea that's a winner. If you're single and dependent coverage is your responsibility, your employer is getting over.

Not single, Entire family is being paid for so I rationalize that all in all i'm coming out ahead.

My company matches 4% if you contribute 5%.
In addition, there is profit sharing that goes into it, but obviously the percent changes from year to year.

This is my first experience with a 401k but my company does a 50% match up to the Federal limit and gave us a year end bonus of 6% of total salary added. I've been told this is pretty good?

bout middle of the road...I think if you can get a 8% match then thats pretty good.
Regardless max that match out at the very least.

That doesn't sound bad. My company matches 100% up to 6%. Profit sharing has averaged and additional 3% per year over the last decade. I don't know if there are conditions to get the additional 3% but I'm getting matched almost 10% of my salary.
