I almost had her last night and the moment I loaded the game she started crying.
Nice. Well, I hope she gets over her light sensitivity. My kids would sleep pretty soundly as long as they were in the crook of my arm (which was propped up with pillows to make it easier to hold the gamepad. My wife thought it was funny and I think she even took a couple of pics of me playing Metroid Prime 3 and Assasin's Creed 2 employing this method.

had to read this twice b/c at first glance it looked like you implied that your kids were crawling at 2 months old
Sorry. I was just trying to paint a picture of how his gaming habits will change as they change. My son never truly crawled and went straight to walking at around 9 months. My daughter was a big crawler, though, and wanted to get out of my lap and on the floor to go see what her big brother was up to.

I used to love FF games but I haven't been able to get in to JRPG since probably SNES. I think the last one I played was Mystic Quest. I remember liking it as a kid. I'd probably play ChronoTrigger and Secret of Mana if I still had them. Love those two

I have taken a break from gaming this week and am ready to dive back in. Gonna play The Long Dark to see the newest updates, some Diablo 3, finish blops 2 campaign, and probably some DA:I.

I'm mainly doing it just to see how to do it. Plus, it's hard getting together with my close friends to actually game nowadays, so I figured I could tempt them with some brainless minecraft fun. We used to kill many hours on this.

IF you happen to know a good tutorial that shows you how to make your IP static, I'd appreciate it, though

Because I don't need something else you can hold over me

Gardoki, not sure if you knew that Patrik Klepek is left giantbomb and now writing for Kotaku.

ETA I'll message you tonight. I still need to find where everything is for the server. I think I favorited a youtube how-to of it a while back.

Unless you specifically pay for a static IP, your ISP is going to have you set to dynamic and it will change occasionally. However, my ISP (COX) rarely changes mine in my experience so it's pretty safe to treat it as static for something like a game server among friends.

Additionally, there are applications that can monitor and notify you if your IP changes. It's not too difficult to set up, but you just need to make sure it's monitoring your external IP rather than the IP of the PC it's on within your LAN.
