I don't think it's the best war film directed by Clint Eastwood (Letters from Iwo Jima)

Just finished watching it. Great movie, I will definitely watch again when it comes out at the movies. It sucks that he lived through everything he did just to die trying to help other soldiers.

Honestly, 5/10

I was fairly disappointed, writing was horribly done.

Before I lend any credence to your opinion, I need to know what you thought of The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty.

He any of you that have seen it also read the book? How does it compare?

I just finished the book last week and although I enjoyed, it was a notch below Lone Survivor. It read more like a diary with less detail and less like a "story". Lone Survivor went in to more detail in my opinion.

American Sniper isn't in the same universe.

Looks sappy. Not really interested. From what I've read of the book and what I know from military types and law enforcement types, it seems decidedly unrealistic. Just my thoughts. It's probably good, but it's been done 100 times.

Yeah man that was so obviously a doll, they didn't even try to make it appear real.

I dont think it is Oscar nomination worthy.

It's not. The dialogue was dreadful.

Story was pretty good but the writing was a real let down.

Lone Survivor was head and shoulders better than this.

Agreed, I'd put Lone Survivor ahead of it.

Watched it tonight. I enjoyed it thought Sienna Miller was really good in it. I do agree that Letters from Iwo Jima is Eastwoods best. I still will buy it when it comes to blu ray.

I will eventually watch like HBO or something.

I already know the end is so fricking senseless and horrific. It will just piss me off. Guy survived all this shite to die by the hand of a crazy frick in Jerkwater(colonel Troutman), Texas.

Lone Survivor was awesome. That is the longest fight sequence I can recall in a movie ever.
