There has been one in Watson for a while, down Bend Road. They keep the road clean and don't bother anyone. My parents were kind of against it when they moved in, but now are happy to have them there.

some little shithead kids caught my friends canoe on fire the other day.We saw the car leaving and when we saw the boat on fire we tried to catch them.We turned into the place not knowing what it was and were instantly surrounded by 10-13 adults dressed weird as frick. Like dressed like Blues Bros.

Asked us what we wanted. Told them we were looking for some kids in a Mustang. They promptly informed us we were not welcome on their property and to leave immediately.

It's funny hearing people who probably practice Christianity calling Scientology a cult.

It's like you've never seen a 12 step program before.

i've seen the place plenty but would have never mistaken it for a drug rehab. The campus is very pretty. Buddy has a camp down there where they drop the Tiki Tubers off.

It was originally owned by the guy who owns(owned?) Frogs. It was a family compound of some sort, so that's why it doesn't look like one.

I don't practice anything, but clearly you don't know anything about Scientology.

I have seen a few Scientology harassment videos on youtube. It is some scary stuff. Tread lightly. They're an organization that even the government won't screw with.

ignorantly stubborn? your choice, I encourage you to look up precisely how scientology operates, how they deal with critics, what they offer and the reasonable prices they charge

it's not even similar. I can understand if you just think they're a weird religion from the outside...it's an easy assumption that many make, but it's so much crazier than that and I'm not even referencing their beliefs and values so much as the execution of it all.

if you even had a basic understanding of how it works and you stand by that assessment, then you're a god damn lunatic

Good chance there is an Oxford house in your neighborhood that has been transitional housing for addicts and you never knew it

This goes for majority of the people on this board

I'm not a Christian.

But it shouldn't be hard for anyone to see a difference between a religion created 2000 years ago that is a continuation of a religion over 3000 years old that is firmly entrenched in every aspect of our society, and some shite a rich science fiction author made up in our generation.

they blackmailed the IRS and got everything they wanted...decades of disagreement settled when miscavage walked into the head offices for an impromptu meeting with the head of the IRS, they'd been digging up dirt on everyone in the department for years

ETA: "digging up dirt" includes following people for years and cataloging their various misdeeds, etc. A few PIs they hired (and they hired a shitzillion) have spoken about this

Not sure, but I fricked one of their girls once at a house by the corner of E State and Dalrymple..... She moved to Utah shortly afterward... Waitress at the old Lonestar on Acadian

White shirts flipped out when they found out that she actually let a guy inside the house with her alone. If they only knew how I had defiled her.

Mormons.

I used to work with a guy who thought they all worked at Radio Shack.

He was genuinely confused as to why Radio Shack employees "have to ride bikes everywhere".

Yet again, I'm not a fan of Scientology, but I can speak as someone who lived within half a mile of that Watson rehab place that we were never bothered by them, and they kept the road clean.
