"I'm not gonna lie, I probably would have gone to LSU".
If he can be convinced to still visit....

We need to get a DC, and maybe we'll still have a shot.

Daylon likes to talk.
Get a DC, get him on campus, and we still have a shot.
I think he ends up a longhorn though. Just a gut feeling.

Yea why would Chavis make that big of a difference? It's not like chavis was his position coach or something and if we make a good hire that should be even more attractive to him.

Eh, at this point it's whatever....
... whatever in the sense that we didn't ask Chief to leave, we will continue to talk to him through Brick and Frank, and the offer to visit is still there.
He's needed and welcome to come be part of this program. A program that he is not larger than by any means. Jamal Peters is basically down to MSU and LSU, both schools lost their DC's. Both schools have good D programs. There's a recruit with vision.
And don't forget, the likely scenario is that LSU ends up with the guy that showed no interest in TAMU when their search started. So in a sense they had to overpay for their 2nd choice while LSU has one of their list toppers... and the same talent on the field.

I don't know if I buy it, because this is so easy to say now

Dude is lying and playing up to the microphone. He cancelled his OV immediately after hearing about Chavis. Didn't wait a second to think about replacement candidates for LSU like he at least tried to for TAMU. Haley is your position coach.
He wanted to create drama. He is going right back to TAMU or to Texas. He just wants to keep the "suspense" up.

Glad the advocate is taking quote from high school kids who never would have gone to LSU.

People need to get over Mack. He loves the attention and will stay in state.

Reminds me when Terrell Pryor made a comment about wishing LSU pursued him harder like it would have mattered ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Don't ask me why but the last Crystal Ball on 24/7 for Mack that was put in this morning went to LSU. Shane Stovall for Louisville Sports Live put this in. Why would a recruiting specialist, knowing what we know in the LSU coach world, put in a CB on Mack for LSU????
Very Interdasting...
