I get why it garners so much criticism but come on Garfield > Toby and Emma Stone >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kristen Dunst. People hate it but I really feel like I'm the minority by liking it.

1st one was awful. 2nd one is terrible so far. Only improvement is Emma Stone.

I like the second Spiderman movie with Doc Octopus better than all the rest of the Spiderman movies combined.

No don't get me wrong, The original 1&2 (3 was shite) are the best Spiderman movies. I'm not saying that the ASM is better just IMO it doesn't deserve the flack it gets.

Garfield is really good, Stone is good and their chemistry is perfect. Spider-Man himself is just about perfect in both.

It pissed me off, electro is one of my favorite villains of all time and they didn't do him justice.I've said it before and I will again, I own a 9.0 Spiderman #9 and I feared that film would devalue my book.
The Rhino was pathetic.
They have so much opportunity with their budget, and wealth of characters yet it seems as if they dont even pick up the ball, much less drop it.

Garfield and Stone are really good. They do everything they can. The first Amazing Spider-Man was...watchable. The second was a half step away from a Schumacher Batman movie.

Even I hate the new spiderman and I seem to enjoy most those movies everyone here dumps on, like The Hobbit or Man of Steel.

While I agree the casting of the leads have been better, every other thing about the new Spider-Man movies have been worse. Seriously, can you summarize the plot of the second film within 1 sentence. Best I can come up with is "Spider-Man pisses off some people for no reason and they kill his girlfriend."

Honestly I never liked any of the new spider man movies with either Toby or the new guy. Don't know why. Just never found them entertaining.

I found Maquire to be corny as Spidey. Garner plays him like the comics portray him. Fast with the wise cracks and irritating. And Emma Stone is a def improvement over plain jane boring Kirsten Dunst. Kirsten Dunce is no Mary Jane! They would have been much better off giving that role to Rebecca McAdams who actually looks like the Mary Jane in the comics.
