Anyone who doesn't brush their teeth should never wonder why they are single....

7 days after I lost my shaving kit in the bush of Alaska. And no, Alaska isn't the name of a hooker.

I'm not gonna tell you when I was on deployment how long I went without showering but even through my nastiness, I always managed to brush my teeth several times a day

18 days of not truly brushing my teeth with a real toothbrush and toothpaste during SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) training. I did use scraps of paper, sticks, and other things to do the best I could in between. Since I'm normally very particular about dental hygiene, this felt very disgusting to me. Even though I had gone the same period without a true bath/shower, the first thing I did when we were done was brush my teeth. The shower came second.

I could go a while in college. It would get pretty nasty, but I'd have a sip of Dr Pepper....problem solved.
