Does the offense help him be successful?
I see what you're doing with that post and it isn't even worth discussing each point. But what on earth makes you think your offensive system helps a defense be successful?

I can tell you if Miles was offered the Michigan job he would be gone and dispite most people not wanting him Jimbo Fisher would have been the new coach.
Interesting since Jimbo just signed through 2022
I would love Jimbo here though

the timing of the jimbo extension was a key indication that michigan got harbaugh

9 more points/game vs conference opponents (in a down year for A&M's offense)?

The move is highly unlikely. Just wanted to play devil's advocate.

That would be great if the question was "what is the difference in ppg against conference teams?". But what about the offense specifically helps the defense? You've obviously thought this out or have read it from an "insider", I would be interested in hearing the answer.

Why would this answer seem to make sense to you?

I don't pretend to have sources. But i have heard from john chavis' sister. You can see her comments on the matter for yourself on facebook in the LSUNation FB group. She says that he is very much thinking about going to A&M but that he has made no decision yet so dont let anyone tell you differently. She said they have expressed their feelings to him to remain at LSU but will support him no matter his choice.
Again, this isnt a secret source and all can go see her comments if they dont believe.

They will be cycling through coordinators again in a few years because they can't fathom their offense and Sumlin being a big part of the problem with the defense.

I looked at the page and didn't see anything like that

LOL at Chavis getting a call forwarded to Sumlin by some low level grunt
Yeah I'm pretty sure the agents would be handling all of the communication.

Her comments are comments on a post about the rumors

I have a hard time believing LSU would hire Cam as HC. But then again we're talking about Alleva.

I tried to screenshot her comments post but i guess im to dumb to figured out how to post it on here?
Her exact comments were:
Linda Chavis-Henson: Hello to all.. Coach Chavis aka Chief is my brother and has not made any decisions or signed any contracts. When he does decide, it will be a decision that will be best for him and his family. So out of respect to all, can everyone respect him and his decision when that decision is made. God bless U all.. PS As U all want Coach Chavis to stay at LSU, I'm hoping the same.
post 2: after a poster told her to tell him to stay
Linda Chavis-Henson: Toni Cado,,he knows how we feel,we really want him to stay at LSU, but the decision is ultimately on him and his wife. But what ever he decides, we all here will support his decision and will continue to luv him where ever he goes.
post3 after a bunch of dumb lsu fans arguing with each other over whether or not they would still support him if he left or if he'd be worse than saban:
Linda Chavis-Henson: I can and do agree with a lot of each of your comments. Personally my thoughts on this is why would he choose to leave LSU. LSU has so much to offer and he has a lot to offer also, his loyalty, his true dedication to just being a superb coach, and all his expertise in his coaching. Not saying this because he's my brother, but he is the best defense coach around, and I say that with a lot of pride, honor, and love!!!

From a strategy perspective, when a team is behind, the OC is more likely to call plays and push for 1st downs via passing plays and by generally riskier play calling. He needs success. When a good DC has a team playing with a 2-score lead, it becomes easier to predict what the O will do and the DC has a cushion to take more risks. So he can be more aggressive with his blitz packages, dialing up more pressure, and he can stay in press man and push for turnovers. When an opposing offense and a defense are both taking risks, it favors the D if they are well coached.
A&M's offense tends to jump out to early leads and scores more points/game than most SEC teams. 9 points/game is 2 scores. And this includes the team falling apart in Bama. I don't think it's fair to compare last season since Manziel was unique. However, A&M will have a very talented dual threat on campus next fall as a true freshman. Some have argued Kyler Murray is the best player in the history of Texas High School football, having never lost a game as a starting QB in 3 seasons (in 6A).
With young talent like Myles Garrett and Armani Watt, who both started as true freshman, and incoming talent like Daylon Mack (who will recommit), there is a lot for a solid DC to build on. When you add in how bad the D has been, any solid DC will look like a genius the 1st season. So while it probably will not be Chavis, I'm convinced some high profile DC will recognize this and jump at the opportunity.
