We see 4 and 5 star guys make it to the league with all of this hype and completely burn out but what about the guys hardly recruited out of high school, making it to the league and doing well. Leodis McKelvin comes to mind.
Can anyone think of anymore guys like this? What do you think the cause of this is? Coaching? Maturity? Something else?

He was really good at CMU, but yeah, it turned out better than I thought.

Joique Bell, bounced around a few teams (BUF and NO) before the Lions gave him his chance.

I guess JJ Watt was a first rounder when it was all said and done, but guy was delivering pizza at 20 instead of being on a football team.
That's kind of out of nowhere

Tony frickin Romo
I remember he was announced starter for the Cowboys and I was like "who?!?"
But I don't pay attention to anything Cowboy related so that could be why.

I think they meant more overlooked guys not guys who take the most steroids.

He was a TE at CMU before transferring to WISC

Yeah roids don't count. This thread is regarding players who do it honestly.

Meh, he was pretty good in college but I know what you mean. Figured he'd be good but not this good.

What about a guy like Jahri Evans? Or Terron Armstead? I know those are just Saints players, but the schools they came from and now they have or have had productive careers.
